FYI, this story is more than a year old

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has extended its compute, storage and networking solutions for SAP applications, pushing real-time analytics to help businesses gain real-time insight from growing volumes of data.

Drew Iacone, HPE vice president global SAP practice and alliance, says businesses need solutions that allow them to manage growing volumes of data in real-time in order to successfully achieve digital transformation.

The company, which has a 28-year partnership with SAP, announced new compute, storage and networking offerings running SAP's Hana database and Leonardo machine learning in a move it says will help customers accelerate real-time analytics.

The announcements include a preview of its next generation architecture for SAP Hana, designed with memory-driven computing principles to enable enterprises to analyse and process ‘massive' amounts of data at the digital core in real time.

HPE says the next generation architecture will scale appropriately enabling businesses of all sizes to start small and grow to address the largest scale data demands of SAP Hana, while offering modularity and reliability to handle demanding SLAs of SAP workloads and protect high-value applications and data.

New SAP-certified solutions for SAP Hana environments were also announced for on-premises IT and private cloud deployments, including a new Hana solution for HPE Synergy, in what HPE says is the industry's first composable infrastructure certified for Hana.

The new solutions also included largest S/4 Hana certifications, new enterprise application continuity solutions combining HPE Serviceguard, HPE 3Par StoreServ All Flash, HPE StoreOnce and HPE Recovery Manager Central, and networking solutions with HPE and Arista.

Also revealed were intelligent edge solutions featuring SAP Leonardo to provide customers with the ability to derive real time insights and produce actionable results from IoT data by enabling end-to-end visibility to product centric operations.

Rounding out the announcements were new SAP advisory and transformation, professional and operation services from HPE Pointnext.
