FYI, this story is more than a year old

Rittal, a manufacturer of IT racks, has announced that it will partner with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).

Headquartered in Herborn, Germany, and founded in 1961, Rittal also specialises in solutions for industrial enclosures, power distribution, climate control and IT infrastructure, as well as software and services.

Rittal is the largest company in the Friedhelm Loh Group with 9,300 employees, and 58 subsidiaries.

Through the partnership, the companies will jointly deliver modular data center solutions to the global market. For customers, the companies are aiming to provide the support, equipment and consultancy needed to take advantage of today's IoT and IT Edge requirements.

Specifically, the partnership will focus on markets requiring "plug and play" Hybrid Cloud and Edge solutions.

Rittal will bring a broad portfolio of modular and scalable data center solutions to the collaboration, which will be complemented by HPE's Pointnext-services.

Rittal's portfolio includes infrastructure solutions for modular and energy-efficient data centers, including security concepts for data systems and physical data and system security for IT infrastructures

“Hewlett Packard Enterprise is a valuable partner for Rittal, bringing us a broader reach to help customers quickly with high-end complete data center solutions according to their needs,” comments Andreas Keiger, Executive vice president, Sales, Rittal.

Brian Whelan, WW director, Data Center Facilities, HPE, says, "Rittal's modular ‘lego-style' system for IT Infrastructures fits perfectly with our own offerings and capabilities, helping to provide customers a simplified and seamless experience."
