ThoughtSpot unveils new offerings to boost developer productivity
Tue, 23rd Apr 2024

AI-Powered Analytics firm ThoughtSpot has unveiled a series of initiatives aimed at providing greater power and capability to developers and product builders. The firm, which is rebranding its embedded analytics solution as ThoughtSpot Embedded, states it is providing invisible analytics and business outcomes via new developer productivity investments, pricing editions, courses, and certifications.

To make ThoughtSpot's AI-powered analytics easier to integrate, ThoughtSpot has enacted a seamless integration with the Vercel Marketplace. This new Vercel Marketplace listing for ThoughtSpot empowers developers to leverage AI-powered analytics within their apps, taking full advantage of Vercel's streamlined app development and deployment process.

ThoughtSpot is also bolstering support and assistance for developers by introducing a Discord Channel. Here, developers can access technical guidance from ThoughtSpot Embedded experts while developing projects and utilising ThoughtSpot Embedded. Furthermore, ThoughtSpot University is launching new paid certifications for ThoughtSpot Embedded. Aimed at developers looking for formal recognition of their specific skills and expertise in AI-Powered Analytics, the ThoughtSpot Embedded Developer certification forms part of this new suite of offerings.

ThoughtSpot is positioning itself at the forefront of the GenAI revolution. Businesses of every size are now looking to streamline data access and leverage generative AI, a movement which ThoughtSpot is keen to lead. Their embedded analytics solution, now branded ThoughtSpot Embedded, is currently making significant inroads across a variety of industries. From Global 2000 enterprises to digital natives, ThoughtSpot's offerings are transforming the way organisations interact with data.

The company is partnering with businesses of all sizes to instigate a 'Data Renaissance'. Corporate giants like PepsiCo and Becton Dickinson, as well as digital natives such as MDAudit, RedEye, and Act-On, are leveraging ThoughtSpot's generative embedded, AI-powered analytics. Despite only being released two years ago, the product line now makes up a quarter of ThoughtSpot's total Annual Recurring Revenue and continues to grow at a rate of almost 100% year-on-year.

The principal product manager at Act-On, Duessa Holscher, speaks highly of the impact ThoughtSpot is having: “When our sales team shares ThoughtSpot Sage with our customers, it blows people away. It's a great way to expose people to search, especially in cases where people may feel a bit intimidated by data. This gives you answers fast. ThoughtSpot Sage makes something that could be complex, simple,” Holscher said.

ThoughtSpot's recent launch of ThoughtSpot Sage Embed and AskDocs has added further firepower to the company's capabilities ahead of a series of updates being launched. With these, ThoughtSpot is making GenAI integration into apps and services both more efficient and more affordable for developers and product builders. The updates are designed to reduce the total cost of ownership, decelerate time to market, and create new revenue streams that add value for end users.

Finally, Karl Riddett, Strategy Lead at InterWorks, believes ThoughtSpot Sage is a "game-changing differentiator" for ThoughtSpot among BI platforms. He said, “By enabling natural language to search data, and then accompanying the results with suggestions for further questions and answers using the latest AI capabilities, ThoughtSpot has democratised data for even the casual data user in every organisation.”
