Trustifi launches innovative phishing detection training for MSPs
Thu, 18th Apr 2024

Trustifi, a AI- and cloud-based email cybersecurity solutions, has launched a new Email Security Awareness training module. It's a threat simulation tool that Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can provide to their end-users. The module prepares network users to detect and avert phishing attacks and supplements this vital training with actionable strategies, analytics, and reports. The ultimate goal is to enhance the protection of users' networks. The module helps identify those users most susceptible to phishing attempts, allowing IT administrators to target those who are more likely to fall for the program's simulated phishing attacks.

The new Email Security Awareness training module is a new addition to Trustifi's expansive portfolio of email cybersecurity solutions. Trustifi's offerings now include government-grade encryption, inbound and outbound email protection, data loss protection, in addition to modules for account takeover protection, archiving, and e-discovery. Adding a cutting-edge threat simulation module to this spread of services sets Trustifi apart from its competitors. It now has a more proactive and precautionary feature set for end-users, alongside top-quality, AI-based filters and tools that tackle the rising threat of AI-generated phishing attacks.

Trustifi's new training platform can be accessed via Trustifi's main interface. IT administrators can launch fake phishing campaigns to individual network users or encompassing entire organisations. The module includes a series of pre-constituted templates that administrators can use to create convincing phishing emails. These mimic communications from prominent vendors such as Microsoft, Google Workspace, GoDaddy, and Salesforce.com - much like a cybercriminal would. Administrators can personalise these templates to reflect the usage patterns and details of their organisation's employees. The result - convincing faux phishing emails that mirror the tactics of real cybercriminals.

As soon as a fake phishing email is launched, administrators receive reports detailing who fell for the simulated attack. Users clicking an infected link receive a message saying they have fallen victim to a simulated attack. They are then provided insights and instructions on how to spot phishing emails in the future. Administrators are given detailed analytics on how many users clicked on specific links, and whether results have improved over multiple campaigns.

The Trustifi module provides progressive benefits; administrators can attach smart banners to emails received by users who failed the phishing attempts, reminding them to be wary of phishing tactics. Administrators can issue extra messages with tips on identifying malicious emails that may include familiar greetings, altered vendor domains, or pressing calls-to-action.

"With the increase of AI-based language generators, companies have to adopt new and aggressive ways to help their employees thwart phishing attacks," said Rom Hendler, CEO and co-founder of Trustifi. "It's become so hard to identify safe and malicious emails that proactive strategies like threat simulations are becoming a vital tactic. Trustifi is one of the few providers to introduce a threat simulation product within its broader suite of email security solutions, positioning us as a comprehensive, one-stop partner for email data protection. The breadth and flexibility of our solutions sets us apart from other security companies."
