MAXON computer has thrown its support behind NODE, a new Motion Graphics Industry event that brings the best in Australian Motion Graphics and Animation together. Partnering with Adimex, an Australian distributor/wholesaler of software, the co-sponsorship arrangement will help NODE promote the Australian Motion Graphics industry and the large pool of Australian talent that often works behind the scenes to create the wow factor for film, television and gaming around the world.
MAXON’S VP International Sales and Marketing, Friederike Bruckert, says MAXON is proud to partner with Adimex to be the Gold Sponsor of NODE in its inaugural year.
“We’re very supportive of initiatives that inspire anyone involved in 3D motion graphics. We feel it’s always important for artists to have the opportunity to sharpen their skillset and learn new ideas and trends from within their community,” says Ms Bruckert.
Produced by Melbourne Motion Graphics and Animation Studio, Yes Captain, NODE connects industry professionals and rising talent.
“We’re all about showcasing talent and sharing creative inspiration and wanted to create an event that not only allowed us to do this but was accessible to anyone who was interested,” says James Cowen, Creative Director at Yes Captain.
“We are very grateful to MAXON and Adimex for coming on board as our Gold Sponsor. This support means that we can make NODE a ‘must attend’ event for motionographers and designers, of all levels.”
“Our ultimate goal is to shine a light on the Australian Motion Graphics and Animation industry and NODE gives us an opportunity to show the world the power of our collective creative," he adds.
As part of the Gold Sponsor agreement MAXON is providing the major prize for NODE’s Ident competition, which is open to students and professionals until August 31. The best overall ident will be awarded a license for MAXON’s flagship 3D modeling, painting, rendering and animation software, Cinema 4D Studio R18, the latest release which has previewed this week at SIGGRAPH 2016.
NODE is being held at ACMI in Melbourne on November 18.
