Australia's CCNA and Macquarie Bank have picked up key awards at Avaya's Engage conference in Dubai with a slew of Asia Pacific partners and customers stepping up to the podium to claim awards.

CCNA (Converged Communication Network Applications) win came for Partner of the Year, while Macquarie Bank was brought home a Customer Innovation.

The awards also saw Ingram Micro and its Aptec subsidiary take out the two awards available for Distributor of the Year.

In presenting the award, Avaya noted that the company, which is a full stack partner, was ‘Australia's most successful privately owned partner, covering the enterprise and midmarket sectors'.

The Sydney-based company, which is a Diamond partner, has undertaken more than 200 projects this year, making it one of Avaya's strongest partners in Asia in terms of revenue and accreditation.

CCNA says its business has been expanding through the delivery of hosted and managed services across hyper-converged infrastructure and networks.

Other Asia Pacific Partner of the Year winners were China's Tatung System Technologies, Korea's ECS Telecom, Japan's Mitui Knowledge Industry.

Macquarie Bank, meanwhile, is using Avaya Private Cloud Solutions to power its contact centre operations.

“Macquarie Bank was named winner of the Avaya Customer Innovation Award for its approach to transforming its customer experience,” Avaya says.

“In particular, the bank has demonstrated continued evolution of its omni-channel contact centre operation using Avaya Private Cloud Services.

Thailand's Thanachart Bank and DHL Supply Chain were also winners in the customer innovation awards, along with Japan's KDDI Evolva, Korea's Standard Chartered Bank, China's Meili.com and Wynn Macau and India's Bharti Airtel.

Japan's Marubeni Information Systems and Korea's TAK Information Systems and India's Mahindra Defense Systems were named Innovation Partners of the Year.

Marubeni is helping deliver the first Avsya Breeze project in Japan, while TAK has quadrupled its year on year revenue, and Mahindar has implemented a state-of-the-art emergency responses system for Utta Pradesh state.

Midmarket Partner of the Year winners from Asia Pacific were India's Telecraft E Solutions, and Beijing Netel Information Technology - an Avaya partner of the year for the past seven years.
