Cybertify appoints Arni Hardarson to lead offensive security push
Cybertify has appointed Arni Hardarson as Head of Offensive Security, strengthening its senior leadership team as it seeks further growth in Australia's cybersecurity sector.
Leadership addition
Hardarson brings over two decades of experience in technical and strategic cybersecurity roles. Most recently, he led assurance teams at Thales Cyber and Digital, previously known as Tesserent. His expertise spans penetration testing, code auditing, vulnerability research, and adversary simulation.
Throughout his career, Hardarson has held senior positions at Pure Hacking, Pure Security, Tesserent and Thales. He has overseen large-scale offensive security projects within government and heavily regulated industries, building and leading teams to deliver complex security engagements.
Market focus
Cybertify aims to compete with established players by expanding its offensive security services to enterprise clients. The company is focused on building teams with experience in regulated sectors such as government and critical infrastructure.
Founder and Chief Executive Ramtin Diznab highlighted the importance of Hardarson's appointment in supporting Cybertify's ambitions.
"Mr Hardarson's appointment marks an important growth milestone for Cybertify. His outstanding reputation, leadership and deep knowledge will accelerate our offensive security offering and strengthen our ability to deliver enterprise-grade outcomes with agility and precision. We are assembling a senior, highly experienced team to take on the big players. Cybertify is poised for fast growth and Mr Hardarson's arrival represents the calibre of expertise we are attracting to our mission," said Diznab.
Industry background
Hardarson moved to Australia from Europe 15 years ago, with a brief to advance local offensive security capability. He was instrumental in developing teams and solutions that support Australia's cyber resilience efforts.
At Thales Cyber and Digital, he led security testing and advisory programs for government and enterprise, including penetration testing and red-team operations. He has particular experience with regulated industries, oversight of security controls and assurance reporting for compliance programmes.
Team development
Cybertify has signalled its intention to compete head-to-head with major consultancies and security firms in Australia. The company continues to appoint senior specialists to its team, drawn from consultancies and security environments with experience handling high-threat scenarios and precise compliance requirements.
Hardarson said he is focused on enhancing security offerings and client outcomes at Cybertify. "I'm excited to join Cybertify's elite cyber squad, an ambitious consulting group with big plans in cybersecurity. I will strengthen our high-impact offensive security capability, and work alongside a passionate team to strengthen our client's security defences and deliver tangible value," said Hardarson.
