FYI, this story is more than a year old

Infor is doubling down on its Indian partner network, with the company reporting triple digit year on year growth for the first quarter of FY18.

The business software vendor says its partner network has been ‘instrumental' in growing its Indian business. Infor now has more than 700 customers in India, as businesses seek technologies for cloud and digital transformation.

Last financial year the company recruited seven new partners, and it says it is doubling down this number in FY18.

“To date, partners in India contribute around 30% to the channel business and 50% of services are delivered by system integrators who have specialised knowledge and skills on Infor solutions,” the company says.

Ashish Dass, Infor South Asian Subcontinent vice-president and managing director, says India is a strategic market ofr the company, which provides industry specific business applications including enterprise asset, financial and performance management, ERP, HCM and supply chain management.

The company says organisations are increasingly demanding faster time-to-value, next-generation user collaboration and software to suit the specific needs of various industries.

“As businesses and government increasingly look to transform in order to align with the new complexities of the digital environment, Infor is well poised to not only enable this transformation but also catalyse competitiveness to stay ahead of the digital curve,” Dass says.

“We are also betting on big data, analytics, cloud, mobile and social collaboration which we see as huge trends to watch out for in the area of ERP,” he adds.

Indian customers range from large conglomerates to emerging companies including Godrej, Future Group, MyEco Energy and Dixy Textiles.
