Ingram Micro announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Huawei Technologies, adding the vendor to its expansive portfolio of enterprise infrastructure vendors.

The agreement will see Ingram Micro distributing the full range of Huawei's information technology solutions, including enterprise networking, server, storage, security and a growing portfolio of solutions addressing the Internet of Things (IoT) segment.

The addition of the Huawei brand will provide even greater breadth to Ingram Micro's current vendor portfolio.

It will supposedly create new opportunities for collaboration amongst existing enterprise hardware and software vendors by providing new interoperability options for their solutions and expanded reach into an even broader customer set.

The team at Huawei are supposedly already hard at work with Ingram Micro, participating as a gold sponsor of Showcase, which is being run at Christchurch's Horncastle arena between 9.00am and 4.30pm today.
