Kinetic IT reshapes leadership with key public hires
Kinetic IT has appointed Jeremy O'Donohue as Managing Director, State Government and Critical Infrastructure, as the company reshapes its executive leadership across public sector and critical infrastructure markets.
O'Donohue joins Kinetic IT from Capgemini, where he most recently led the firm's public sector business across Australia and New Zealand. Kinetic IT said he brings more than 20 years of experience across government, health, education and critical infrastructure.
The company said the appointment reflects what it described as growing scale and complexity in its government and critical infrastructure work. It also links the change to a broader evolution of its leadership model.
In the new role, O'Donohue takes responsibility for growth strategy, executive-level customer relationships and delivery across state government and critical infrastructure customers. Kinetic IT said he will work nationally and base himself on Australia's east coast.
Public Sector Focus
Kinetic IT positioned the appointment as a leadership move across two markets it described as strategically significant. The company said O'Donohue will work alongside Leighton Freene, Managing Director, Federal Government, Defence and National Security.
Kinetic IT said the pairing provides leadership coverage across its priority public sector markets. It also said it aligns with areas where the company has recorded growth.
Shane Quinn, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Kinetic IT, said the appointments respond to changing customer requirements in key markets.
"These appointments reflect a deliberate focus on leadership depth, customer alignment, and execution capability aligned to our key target markets, where customers are relying on us to solve increasingly complex, mission-critical challenges," said Shane Quinn, Interim Chief Executive Officer, Kinetic IT.
"Jeremy's appointment strengthens Kinetic IT's leadership bench at a time of strong growth, bringing deep market insight and a proven ability to deliver. The changes to our structure will sharpen accountability, strengthen customer focus, and support our targeted growth ambition," said Quinn.
Customer Leadership
Kinetic IT has also appointed Cassie Loder as Chief Customer Officer. The company said the role brings together accountability for customer experience, partnerships, brand and long-term growth across the business.
O'Donohue said Australian ownership and customer focus influenced his decision to join. He also pointed to Kinetic IT's position in government and critical infrastructure markets.
"Kinetic IT's Australian ownership and customer focus were key drivers for wanting to join Kinetic IT," said Jeremy O'Donohue, Managing Director, State Government and Critical Infrastructure, Kinetic IT.
"Kinetic IT has built a strong reputation as a trusted Australian partner to government and critical infrastructure organisations. I'm excited to join at this point in the company's journey and to work with customers and teams to connect capabilities, strengthen partnerships, and deliver outcomes that genuinely matter," O'Donohue added.
