Logicalis makes move on Australia with CNI acquisition

FYI, this story is more than a year old

International IT solutions and managed services provider Logicalis Group has announced its acquisition of Microsoft Certified Gold Partner CNI.

The Australian operation of the Group, Thomas Duryea Logicalis (TDL), asserts the acquisition of one of Australia's prominent Microsoft Azure partners will bolster its ability to offer customers hybrid IT services and solutions within Azure public cloud.

CNI has been a Microsoft Azure partner since 2012 and according to TDL, has built up a reputation in that time for offering expertise, flexibility, and strong partnerships.

Logicalis Group chief executive officer Mark Rogers says the addition of CNI's Azure experience, unique IP, and Microsoft Tier 1 CSP certification will provide TDL with the necessary tools to be more competitive in the rapid build and deployment of Azure-based hybrid cloud applications.

In terms of what this this means for customers, Rogers says the base will benefit from access to increased capabilities, which include security, managed services, project management governance, and a wider range of supporting services.

“This acquisition positions TDL as a tier one Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider and a leading provider of Azure solutions in Australia,” says Rogers.

“Moreover, it expands our Microsoft and cloud portfolios capabilities in transformation services to allow our customers to focus on innovation and better end-user experiences.”

TDL is certainly making strides in APAC, as earlier this year the company celebrated becoming the region's first Citrix certified service delivery partner.

Rogers says CNI's established capability to securely tailor Azure cloud services for migration and ongoing management will integrate seamlessly into the TDL portfolio, ultimately delivering an opportunity for Logicalis to provide a platform to help customers reap true business outcomes by transitioning to the cloud.
