FYI, this story is more than a year old

Microsoft Australia has expanded its Surface Hub partner lineup locally, adding Dimension Data, Data#3, Insight, Ensyst and Generation-E to the list.

The five new partners join existing partners Telstra and ProAV in deploying Surface Hub to organisations throughout Australia.

Microsoft Australia says while it is expanding availability of the Surface Hub locally, ‘we will continue to take the steps and time needed to create and deliver the best possible experience to our customers with a very measure go-to-market approach'.

The 55-inch and 84-inch are designed to ‘enable a completely new kind of collaborative experience designed from the ground up with group productivity in mind', Microsoft says. The vendor says the offerings make meetings more productive, modernise workflows and let people engage with organisational data in new ways.

“We designed Surface Hub from the ground up for ink and touch, and harnessed the best collaboration and security features of Windows 10, Skype for Business, Office, OneNote and Universal Windows apps,” Microsoft says in a blog post today.

“We've seen how businesses and disciplines like healthcare, manufacturing, automotive, consulting, defence, finance, education and design can bring Surface Hub into workspaces to bring a new level of innovation and efficiency to their teams,” Microsoft Australia says.

“They can reduce costs and improve effectiveness, compared to legacy AV and presentation technology.
