Pebl hires ex-Remote executive as Chief Revenue Officer

Wed, 10th Jun 2026 (Today)

Pebl has appointed former Remote executive Patrick MacKelvie as Chief Revenue Officer amid a broader reshaping of its leadership team.

McKelvie will lead sales and partnerships, while Pebl shifts responsibilities across its operations, legal and people functions. His appointment brings an executive from one global employment platform to a rival as competition in cross-border hiring and employer-of-record services remains intense.

Founder Ben Wright will step away from day-to-day operations and return full time to his role as Chairman. He had returned to the business in 2025 to help steer it through a period of internal change.

Chief Executive Officer Francoise Brougher said Wright played a central role in rebuilding focus across the organisation during that period. Pebl also said it recorded 40% growth in the first quarter of 2026.

"Ben stepped back into the business at an important moment for Pebl and helped bring focus, structure, and momentum across the organization," said Francoise Brougher, Chief Executive Officer of Pebl.

"His leadership helped strengthen our go-to-market organization, recruit exceptional leaders, and position the company for its next stage of growth. We're grateful for his partnership and excited to build on that foundation as we enter this next chapter."

Leadership changes

Alongside McKelvie's arrival, Dutta Satadip has been named Chief Business Officer. The change is intended to bring operations and go-to-market teams closer together around the customer lifecycle.

Shawn McIntire has also taken on an expanded role as Chief Legal and People Officer, combining legal, compliance and people operations as Pebl continues to grow its international employment business.

Pebl operates in more than 185 countries and sells software and services that help companies hire, pay and manage workers across borders. Companies in this market have sought to differentiate themselves through compliance support, local employment infrastructure and technology tools designed to simplify international expansion.

McKelvie previously held senior leadership positions at Remote, one of the best-known companies in the sector. His move to Pebl is likely to be watched closely in a market where vendors are competing for multinational employers as well as start-ups seeking to recruit overseas staff without establishing local entities.

In his new role, McKelvie is expected to focus on sales discipline and partner relationships as Pebl seeks tighter coordination between its commercial and operating teams. The reorganisation is part of an effort to align revenue, operations, legal and people management more closely.

Global hiring platforms have drawn increased attention as employers look for faster ways to recruit staff in multiple jurisdictions and manage payroll, contracts and compliance through a single provider. At the same time, competition has intensified as established players and newer entrants pursue the same corporate clients.

Pebl said the latest changes reflect that backdrop, as employers seek more technology-led hiring tools and support for managing workers across borders. The company has also been investing in artificial intelligence features within its platform.

"What stood out to me about Pebl is that the company understands where the global hiring market is headed and what employers need next," said Patrick MacKelvie, Chief Revenue Officer of Pebl.

"There's a strong foundation here and a real opportunity to help drive the next chapter of the category."
