FYI, this story is more than a year old

Pure Storage, the all-flash storage provider, is opening a new Australia and New Zealand headquarters in Melbourne.

At a ribbon cutting ceremony today the Hon. Philip Dalidakis MP, Victorian Minister for Innovation and the Digital Economy, officially opened the office located on Collins Street in the heart of Melbourne which will be the company's ANZ headquarters.

The office is three times larger than Pure Storage's previous ANZ headquarters, giving it significant size to expand to new staff and to serve existing and new customers in the region.

Since expanding to Australia and New Zealand in 2013, Pure Storage has added high-profile Victorian clients such as Melbourne University, Collingwood FC and Deakin University.

This latest development is a testament to Pure Storage's long-term commitment to businesses and partners in Victoria as well as the wider local market.

“The enterprise flash-storage industry is rapidly evolving. While other players are getting swallowed up whole, we're growing and expanding,” Pure Storage Australia and New Zealand vice president says.

“Being based in the tech capital of Australia will allow us to increase our foothold on the local market by continuing to help current and future customers put their data to work to unleash the power of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The new office means Pure Storage is strategically placed to tap into the local talent, empower Victorian customers to unlock the value of their data and give back to the broader technology community.

“We're thrilled that Pure Storage has chosen Melbourne, Australia's tech city, as the location for their new Australia and New Zealand headquarters,” says Minister for Innovation and the Digital Economy Philip Dalidakis.

“Pure Storage will play an integral role in growing the state's digital economy by helping Australian businesses maximise the value of their data.
