Revolut unveils unified payments platform for Australia

Wed, 4th Feb 2026

Revolut Business has launched a merchant acquiring suite in Australia that combines online, account-to-account and in-person payments within its core business account.

The company said Australian businesses can accept payments, settle funds and manage payment operations through a single platform alongside their business account. Revolut Business said the product integrates payment acceptance and fund management in one ecosystem.

Revolut Business said the launch follows growth in its Australian operation over the past year. The company reported a 235% uplift in monthly transaction volumes in Australia over the last 12 months.

Single platform

Revolut Business described existing acquiring set-ups as fragmented. It said traditional approaches rely on multiple third-party providers. Revolut Business said its Australian launch consolidates those services into one platform.

The company said it offers payment settlement within 24 hours, including weekends. Revolut Business said businesses can hold and settle funds in more than 30 currencies. It said that approach reduces unnecessary exchange fees.

Revolut Business set out pricing for payment processing. It said processing fees start from 0.5% per transaction. The company also cited 99.99% uptime for the service.

Payment tools

Revolut Business said the merchant acquiring suite includes tools for online and in-person payments. It said it targets SMEs and large enterprises.

For smaller operators, Revolut Business said it starts with Tap to Pay on iPhone. For businesses that use a dedicated device, the company said it offers Revolut Terminal. Revolut Business described it as an all-in-one payments terminal designed for constant connectivity.

For online checkouts, the company said merchants can integrate Revolut Pay. Revolut Business described Revolut Pay as a one-click account-to-account checkout option.

Revolut Business said businesses can accept online payments through an API. It said payments can also be taken via payment links and invoices. The company said its online acceptance supports payments made via Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Customer reach

Revolut Business also pointed to its broader consumer footprint. The company said businesses using the new acquiring service get direct access to Revolut's global retail network of more than 70 million customers.

It said Revolut Pay and the acquiring solution already have usage among globally recognised businesses. Revolut Business named Audi Revolut F1 Team and Booking.com.

Survey results

Revolut commissioned research with YouGov on business owners' time pressures. The company said 83% of Australian business owners report finance and admin as the most time consuming area of business operations.

Revolut said the survey also asked business owners what they would do with more time. It said the top preferred use of time was spending time with their kids.

The company positioned the product around managing payment operations and administrative workload in one place. It said a single platform reduces reliance on multiple providers and creates a seamless user experience.

Market backdrop

Australia's payments market remains heavily oriented towards cards, with Revolut Business citing figures of 1.3 billion card payments a month, valued at AUD $90 billion. To tap into this volume, Revolut Business has launched a new acquiring suite designed to streamline how money moves between consumers and businesses.

James Roberts-Thomson, who leads the division in Australia, noted that the service is built to run securely within a single, integrated platform.

"We're thrilled to continue building on the success of Revolut Business in Australia. This launch marks a genuine step‐change in how Australian businesses can manage payments. Revolut Business exists to redefine what's possible for business banking - replacing complexity with clarity, high fees with fairness, and slow systems with global innovation. 83% of Australian businesses have said they want to save time processing finance admin - we're here to offer them the ease and control they deserve," said James Roberts-Thomson, Head of Revolut Business Australia, Revolut.
