St John NSW dials up hosted services with VMtech
Wed, 18th May 2016
FYI, this story is more than a year old

VMtech has won a deal to provide fully managed hosted services for New South Wales' St John Ambulance operations.

The deal will see the hybrid cloud solutions specialist providing St John with a fully managed hosted infrastructure, network monitoring and managed backup offering.

Barney Lee, St John (NSW) IT manager, says the not-for-profit was looking at a storage and network refresh and reducing the complexity of owning and running its own IT infrastructure, enhancing disaster recovery capabilities and ensuring staff and volunteers have seamless and always available access to St John's services.

“In VMtech, we have found a trusted partner who were able to understand our requirements and propose a solution that holistically considered our outcomes and goals,” Lee says.

“With these services in place, my team will have increased opportunity to focus on organisational needs and service improvements that are aligned with St John's mission,” he says.

James Ormesher, VMtech national sales manager, says St John Ambulance is the latest in a line of not-for-profit organisations which VMtech has as customers.

“Our solutions and services focus on cost-efficiency and reliability, which has resonated with not-for-profit organisations who need to direct their funds responsibly and ensure that they can continue to deliver critical services to the community,” Ormesher says.

Last month VMtech reported it was seeing increased momentum for its as-a-service offerings. The company recently won a deal to provide fully integrated managed services and hosted disaster recovery services for Shimano Australia.
