World's largest LED video wall creates stadium feel for Westgate
Fri, 4th Mar 2016
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Westgate Resorts is now home to the world's largest LED video wall, with an enormous curved 20-foot tall and 220-foot long array gracing the Westgate Superbook at Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino.

The wall, which spans the length of the world's largest sports book, was created by RP Visual Solutions and Christie and comprises 1640 2.5 millimetre Christie Velvet LED tiles, boasting more than 65 million pixels.

The wall is designed to create a stadium-like experience, where every seat in the newly renovated Superbook is ‘a front-row experience', with Superbook also installing more than 300 lounger chairs and a 100-foot long curved bar that conforms to the shape of the screen to further enhance the stadium feel.

Randy Pagnan, RP Visual Solutions president, says to say the wall – which he dubs a ‘one-of-a-kind fan experience – is large ‘is a giant understatement'.

“When we were approached by HB Communications to fabricate this mounting structure for this project, we began the process of how to architecturally integrate this large, curved video wall structure into a reality,” Pagnan says.

“After designing came the task of how to install and deploy this configuration on-site.

Kathryn Cress, Christie vice president, global and corporate marketing, says Christie Velvet provides a high resolution LED display with bright, clear visuals, excellent viewing and accurate colour reproduction.

Dana Barron, HB Communications chief executive, says the image size and resolution are ‘breathtaking', transforming Westgate Superbrook into a must see venue.
