Aboriginal Housing Victoria uses UniPhi to boost project delivery

Fri, 21st Nov 2025

Aboriginal Housing Victoria (AHV) has adopted project management software from UniPhi to enhance its ability to deliver affordable housing and essential services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

The shift follows an increase in the number and complexity of AHV's projects, prompting the not-for-profit to seek a more effective solution to manage operations.

Efficiency gains

The implementation of UniPhi software gives AHV a single platform to handle costs, revenues, documents, contract administration, and financial reporting.

The platform's integration with the organisation's business systems has provided AHV with greater transparency and consistency in its data, reducing the risk of oversight.

AHV previously relied on manual methods, which were prone to inconsistent data and administrative inefficiencies. Staff now use UniPhi to streamline day-to-day project management processes, supporting the not-for-profit's efforts to scale up its services in response to growing demand for affordable housing.

Improved transparency

The centralisation of contracts, cashflow reporting, and other key documents has been a notable change in how AHV manages its operations.

"We were introduced to UniPhi software through sector experience, and we are glad to have made it part of how we work. Having everything in one place, from contracts to cashflow reporting, has given us greater confidence and control over our projects," said Drago Chikitch, Director of Assets and Development, Aboriginal Housing Victoria.

Supporting growth

With the introduction of UniPhi, AHV reports that it can now better meet the project delivery requirements needed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Efficiency improvements have enabled a more agile response to the increasing demands on its housing services. The software's real-time data and integration capabilities support both accountability and growth.

Sector endorsement

The decision to implement UniPhi came after recommendations from sector colleagues who had previous experience with the platform. This endorsement was key to adoption, allowing AHV to benefit from software that had already demonstrated value in comparable settings.

"This is a wonderful example of how the right people, with the right tools, can create real impact. UniPhi wasn't just chosen as software, it was recommended by people who trusted it from experience, and now it's helping AHV deliver housing that makes a difference. That's the kind of story we're proud to be part of," said Mark Heath, CEO, UniPhi.
