Acer unveils AI-powered laptops with Copilot+ features

Acer has announced the expansion of its Copilot+ PC portfolio, introducing new AI-powered laptops aimed at both professional and everyday users, including the Swift Go 14 AI, Swift Go 16 AI, and Aspire 14 AI.

The newly launched products are equipped with the latest processors that include integrated neural processing units, which enhance performance to support demanding AI workloads.

James Lin, General Manager of Notebooks at Acer, stated, "As customers see the benefits of using AI to improve and streamline daily tasks, they are interested in Copilot+ PCs in a wider range of sizes and form factors to fit their specific needs and environments. Our expanded Copilot+ PC ecosystem fulfills that desire with practical PCs featuring slim designs and the latest AI processors to make AI even more accessible."

The Swift Go 14 AI and Swift Go 16 AI laptops are designed for mobile professionals, powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors. These laptops, featuring an anodised aluminium chassis with dual arrow patterns, offer OLED and IPS touch display options.

"Acer's expansion of its Copilot+ PC portfolio brings AI capabilities to a wider range of devices that meet customers' diverse needs. With AI at the centre, Copilot+ PCs unlock new features that support productivity and creativity while providing more accessible options," said Mark Linton, Vice President of Device Partner Sales at Microsoft.

The Swift Go 16 AI boasts a battery life of up to 18 hours of video playback, with processing capable of handling up to 50 trillion operations per second thanks to AMD XDNA 2 architecture. The laptops also include Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0 and Acer UserSensing 2.0 for enhanced AI features.

The Aspire 14 AI, on the other hand, caters to those seeking long battery life and portability. Powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, this laptop can provide up to 22 hours of video playback. Weighing just 1.4 kg, its features include a 180-degree hinge for collaborative tasks.

Acer also emphasised the Aspire 14 AI's eco-friendly aspects, which include a chassis made from post-consumer recycled material and packaging that is entirely recyclable. The laptop also features the AcerSense app, offering users access to various system functions and AI capabilities.

The new Copilot+ PC series offers a host of features aimed at productivity and creativity enhancements, featuring integrated AI tools such as Recall for content retrieval and Cocreator in Paint for image creation. These functionalities are supported by processing power over 40 TOPS, providing a platform for sophisticated AI tasks.

Pricing for the new laptops in Australia will start at AUD$1,799 for the Swift Go 14 AI, AUD$1,599 for the Swift Go 16 AI, and AUD$1,599 for the Aspire 14 AI, with availability slated for April.
