Acronis partners with Adelaide Crows to boost cyber security

Today

Acronis has entered into a partnership with the Adelaide Crows to deliver cyber protection services for the next three Australian Football League seasons.

The partnership marks the first time Acronis has joined forces with an AFL club through its #TeamUp programme, with support from OpSys as the official Acronis CyberFit Delivery Partner. The collaboration will provide the Adelaide Crows with data protection and cybersecurity solutions encompassing backup, recovery, and threat protection through the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud platform.

The arrangement is designed to reinforce the football club's cybersecurity measures amid an evolving digital landscape within the sports industry. OpSys will work alongside Acronis, delivering its cybersecurity expertise and IT strategies through the #TeamUp programme.

Tim Silvers, Chief Executive Officer of the Adelaide Crows, stated, "We are always looking for ways to improve every area of our operations and we feel this partnership is another important step forward in our digital transformation. Safeguarding our data and IT systems is of paramount importance and we look forward to working closely with Acronis and OpSys now and into the future."

Pasha Ershow, Senior Vice President Asia Pacific Japan at Acronis, commented on the new alliance: "We are excited to partner with the Adelaide Crows, reinforcing our commitment to securing sports organisations with world-class cyber protection solutions. This partnership will ensure that the Adelaide Crows' data remains safe, enabling the team to stay focused on winning."

Matthew Fabri, Managing Director of OpSys, said, "We're proud to support the Adelaide Crows alongside Acronis. OpSys' proven capability in the security space provides enterprise-level cybersecurity to businesses of any size. Our partnership combines cutting-edge cybersecurity and IT services, giving the Adelaide Crows the protection and resilience they need to succeed in the digital age."

Service providers are encouraged to join the #TeamUp programme to supply Acronis' cyber protection solutions to professional sports teams internationally. The collaboration with the Adelaide Crows is intended to elevate the club's protection of operational and match-related data, as digital transformation becomes a priority across the sporting world.

Since its establishment, the Adelaide Crows have grown to be one of South Australia's most prominent sports organisations, with teams in both the men's and women's elite competitions and a wide-reaching community engagement programme. The club has secured multiple premierships in the AFL and AFLW, while investing heavily in youth and community initiatives through the Adelaide Crows Foundation.

OpSys delivers its cybersecurity and IT services to a broad client base, both in Australia and overseas, focusing on tailored solutions for organisations of all sizes.

Acronis, which operates globally and offers integrated cybersecurity, data protection, and endpoint management, has expanded its reach into the Australian sports sector through this agreement. Service providers and businesses utilise the company's Cyber Protect platform in over 150 countries.
