ArchTIS secures software contract with Australian security agency
Tue, 23rd Apr 2024

archTIS, a global provider of data-centric software solutions for secure collaboration of sensitive information, has secured a contract to provide its Kojensi software as part of a solution to an Australian national security agency. The software will be implemented as part of an AUD $466,840 contract from Penten. The Australian-based cyber technology company, which specialises in Secure Mobility and Applied Artificial Intelligence solutions for Defence and Intelligence agencies, will be working as a partner with archTIS on this project.

This will mark the first sale made by archTIS as a subcontractor to Penten. The contract will involve the implementation of the Kojensi system into an Australian national security agency for the purpose of enabling secure collaboration among internal parties when dealing with highly sensitive data. The contract is not only expected to provide an annual recurring revenue license fee of AUD $264,000 and implementation services of AUD $202,840 but also open new avenues of collaboration between archTIS and Penten, expanding to opportunities in the UK as well.

However, the contract agreement specifies that it can be terminated without any notice or payment in lieu if there is a breach in terms of deliverables or if either company becomes insolvent.

Daniel Lai, Managing Director of archTIS, has spoken about the new venture, stating: "We welcome the opportunity to work with Penten on this engagement and are pleased that they recognised the value of Kojensi to secure collaboration for this important client. The use case and functionality being driven by the client opens new opportunities to work with Penten in both Australia and the UK. It is another example of archTIS unique value in solving sharing and collaboration of sensitive and classified information."

From Penten's side, General Manager Growth and Marketing, Andrew Buttsworth, said: "In an accelerating cyber threat environment, secure collaboration is more important than ever for our Government and Intelligence clients. We were pleased to partner with archTIS on this opportunity to leverage their best of breed Kojensi software within our secure AltoCrypt platform. We look forward to working together with archTIS to deliver great outcomes for this important client."

This contract not only marks a new collaboration but also signifies the growing importance of secure software solutions within the world of national security and cyber defence. Security agencies are increasingly turning to specialised software solutions, like Kojensi, to enable more secure collaboration with sensitive data. The software solution will be part of a larger platform provided by Penten, ensuring that the collaboration remains highly secure and efficient.
