Tue, 5th Sep 2023

Atturra Limited, a prominent advisory and IT solutions business, recently announced the inclusion of Ash Colmer in its efforts to broaden its advisory and consulting services in Western Australia. Stationed in Perth, Colmer will play a pivotal role in propelling the consultancy services capacity not only amidst the government departments and agencies of Western Australia but also within vital sectors such as mining, utilities, and infrastructure. His tasks will encompass aiding businesses with proficient advisory services to bolster sustainable planning for their forthcoming development phase.

Ash Colmer, a veteran with over three decades of adeptness in enhancing the operational efficiency of government agencies and enterprises, is stepping into this role after a successful stint as an Associate Principal Consultant at Atturra, based in Canberra. Before delving into consultancy, he held the position of Lieutenant Colonel in the Australian Army for thirty years, wherein he embarked on numerous operational tours in the Middle East.

During his tenure at Atturra, which spans seven years, Colmer has orchestrated over thirty client projects, notably assisting the Australian Antarctic Division in fabricating a novel organizational structure that fortified its operations and devised strategies to maintain critical assets and infrastructure. His accomplishments also feature steering a critical project with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry, focusing on the creation of a sustainable operational model for national biosecurity, and aiding the Department of Defence in assessing the implications of emerging technologies on its overall capabilities.

Furthermore, Colmer has previously lent his expertise to VicRoads, holding the mantle of Program Delivery Manager and overseeing the conception and execution of an agency-wide project management office.

Reflecting on this significant transition, Andrew Balmaks, the Executive General Manager at Atturra Advisory & Consulting remarks, “This is an important time for our advisory and consulting services business as we focus on expanding capability and reinforce the delivery of service excellence for our clients in Western Australia, as well as nationwide.” He also expressed immense enthusiasm on Colmer’s appointment, stating, “We are thrilled that Ash Colmer will lead our advisory operations in Perth. He is an expert at building capacity, helping organisations make strategic decisions and developing long-term relationships.”

In response, Ash Colmer conveyed his eagerness stating, “I’m looking forward to bringing my expertise to support and sustain the growth and success of dynamic and innovative public and private sector organisations in Western Australia. Our strategy is a growth strategy, and I’m excited to help support Atturra with a growing set of clients to unlock limitless value and capture new opportunities from their people, processes, and technology.” His focus is clearly aimed at fostering growth and aiding Atturra in tapping into a reservoir of untapped potentials.
