Buddybee.ai signs 356 agencies with USD $1.9m sales in two weeks

Hutly has launched Buddybee.ai, a platform that uses agentic artificial intelligence to enable businesses to automate end-to-end workflows across existing systems and third-party platforms.

The Buddybee.ai platform is aimed at addressing issues of stagnant productivity and rising costs by utilising a digital workforce. Within its first two weeks on the market, Buddybee.ai has secured committed sales of USD $1.9 million and signed up 356 real estate agencies, in addition to gaining initial customers in the mining and financial services sectors.

AI as an economic tool

Buddybee.ai was created following Hutly's acquisition and commercialisation of Intellia, founded by Daniel Pedroso. According to Hutly and Buddybee.ai Co-founder Jeremy Hastings, the move to agentic AI is driven by economic necessity rather than hype.

"AI is no longer a talking point, it's an economic necessity. BuddyBee gives companies a 24/7 digital workforce so people can focus on strategy, relationships and growth."

Hastings highlighted that many existing AI tools can be challenging to integrate and maintain, whereas the Buddybee solution is designed to work seamlessly across organisational technology stacks. He stated, "Existing agents in the market are hard to wire up and easy to break, whereas BuddyBee orchestrates across your stack - planning, doing, and adapting, so work flows through a digital workforce who access any cloud based platform without manual glue."

Addressing workflow fragmentation

Daniel Pedroso, founder of Intellia and now Chief Technology Officer at Hutly, commented on the technology's rapid development following the acquisition. "In three months we have built BuddyBee on the existing Intellia infrastructure and launched - a massive feat," Pedroso said.

Pedroso, who has an AI background spanning a decade, pointed out the fragmentation challenge many enterprises face. "I have been deep in AI for over a decade and most enterprises are held back by fragmented systems that don't integrate effectively. Buddybee resolves this by acting as a unified orchestration layer powered by agentic AI. Rather than automating tasks in isolation, it dynamically coordinates workflows, adapts to changing conditions, and scales across an organisation's operations."

The real estate sector has been identified as a primary target for Buddybee's deployment. Pedroso added, "The opportunity to rapidly roll this out into a vertical such as real estate made good business sense. This industry is a technology laggard and still highly dependent on administration roles both on and offshore."

Industry focus

Research suggests that globally, AI is significantly affecting the tasks performed by workers. Approximately 19% of workers in the United States could see more than half of their tasks impacted by large language models. In Australia, there are about 244,000 people employed in the real estate sector across roughly 45,000 businesses, presenting an immediate opportunity for automation.

Buddybee.ai's initial customer base, which consists of real estate agencies and businesses in mining and financial services, reflects a growing demand for operational AI solutions across sectors. In just its first two weeks, the platform recorded USD $1.9 million in committed sales and signed on 356 real estate agencies for onboarding.

Expansion plans

The platform is intended for broad application across the economy. It is positioned to support industries including real estate, mining, banking, financial services and government. Buddybee.ai's team aims to set a benchmark for agentic AI deployment by combining industry-specific experience and technical skills.

Hastings commented on his ambitions for the platform in the context of the domestic market. "Australia has an opportunity to lead the world in agentic AI adoption, and we intend to be at the forefront of that shift," Hastings said.
