Canva unveils major expansion of enterprise offerings
Canva has unveiled a significant expansion of its enterprise offerings at the Canva Create event in Los Angeles. This marks the platform's most extensive overhaul in a decade and introduces a suite of new products aimed at enabling workplace productivity and creativity, according to the company.
The centrepiece of Canva's new offerings is Canva Enterprise, a subscription service designed to meet the needs of large organisations. This includes scalable cloud storage, advanced brand management tools, and robust security features. The enterprise subscription is tailored to streamline design and content production processes, making it easier for organisations to manage their visual assets while maintaining brand consistency.
Canva has also introduced Canva Work Kits, which are industry-specific collections of templates and resources. These are designed to help teams from various departments, including Marketing, HR, Sales, and Creative, to scale their output efficiently. The Work Kits are fully customisable and can be branded using Canvas Brand Kit.
Additionally, Canva Courses is a new tool aimed at improving workplace learning. This offering allows organisations to transform existing designs, such as presentations and videos, into sequenced interactive courses. This feature is expected to enhance employee onboarding, training, and development by providing a centralised platform for managing and tracking progress.
Canva's commitment to artificial intelligence continues with the expansion of its Magic Studio. The upgraded capabilities include Text to Graphic, Magic Design, Resize & Magic Switch, and Styles & Layouts. These features are designed to make design processes more efficient and accessible, even for users without professional design training.
Improvements to Canvas Visual Suite include several top-requested features such as Suggested Editing, which allows users to track changes and collaborate more effectively. Apps from Amazon Ads, Google, and Meta have also been integrated, offering users instant feedback on designs and easy access to asset libraries. Additional upgrades include Data Autofill, which integrates business data into Canva from third-party sources, and Bulk Create, which speeds up marketing workflows by allowing users to quickly update images and text across multiple designs.
Furthermore, following Canva's acquisition of Affinity, the platform now offers advanced editing options for professional graphic designers, illustrators, and typographers. The new Affinity v2.5 includes enhancements such as Variable Font support, a Stroke Width Tool, and optimisations for ARM64 chips. Canva has also announced that eligible teachers, schools, and non-profit organisations can sign up for free access to Affinity.
"We are excited to introduce a revamped Canva experience and a suite of new products to empower every organisation to design," said Melanie Perkins, co-founder and CEO of Canva. "As demand for visual content soars, navigating organisational complexity is more challenging than ever. We democratised the design ecosystem in our first decade and now look forward to unifying the fragmented ecosystems of design, AI, and workflow tools for every organisation in our second decade."
Canva now boasts more than 185 million monthly active users and generates annualised revenues exceeding US$2.3 billion, according to the company. Since the introduction of Canvas Visual Suite 18 months ago, the platform has attracted over 95 million new users, a number that previously took nearly nine years to achieve.
