Celonis & Rollio unveil AI tool for process optimisation

Today

Celonis and Rollio have launched the Celonis Process Collaboration Agent, a new AI tool designed to enhance collaborative decision-making and process optimisation.

The Celonis Process Collaboration Agent, developed in partnership with Rollio, aims to improve inter-department collaboration by offering a shared source of truth. This is achieved through a natural language interface that efficiently resolves process exceptions. This agent is part of Celonis's suite, AgentC, which includes various AI agent tools, integrations, and partnerships.

Eugenio Cassiano, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at Celonis, commented: "Our partnership with Rollio demonstrates how Celonis enables innovative software companies to build AI agents fed with process intelligence. The Process Collaboration Agent brings together all the relevant people to approve a decision and the process insights to explain the reasoning behind it. Bringing teams together within the collaboration tools they use on a daily basis democratises the access to process intelligence."

Key features of the Celonis Process Collaboration Agent include agent-initiated collaboration, the delivery of process context in natural language, agent-guided decision-making, and seamless integration with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.

Markus Demirci, Chief Executive Officer of Rollio, stated, "The Celonis Process Collaboration Agent is not just a tool; it's a game-changer for process collaboration. Today's organisations often face frustration with processes due to the complexity of navigating multiple systems, involving numerous stakeholders and dealing with unnecessary bureaucracy. The Collaboration Agent simplifies this by becoming a natural extension of how we work together, enabling teams to focus on outcomes, not obstacles."

The Process Collaboration Agent addresses both low and high-complexity process exceptions. While low-complexity issues can often be managed with automation, high-complexity exceptions require coordination across departments and systems, often resulting in lost information and inefficient communication.

An example provided was the handling of credit blocks within Finance operations. Manual processes for clearing credit blocks are typically cumbersome, leading to potential issues such as delivery delays and increased costs. The Celonis Process Collaboration Agent aims to streamline these processes, reducing resolution times and maintaining an auditable decision log.

Campari Group, a notable user of the Process Collaboration Agent, has reported advancements in operational efficiency, particularly in credit block management within its Finance operations. Laura Buseghin, Process Optimisation and Automation Director at Campari Group, stated, "Celonis' robust ecosystem and partners like Rollio drive huge benefits for us. The Process Collaboration Agent will let us be smarter and faster in managing process exceptions, enabling our people to quickly and consistently access information that they would otherwise have to search for across different systems in a complex, time-consuming manner."

"We're excited to work with the agent and to assess how we can grow its use across the business. We are always looking for new ideas and new ways to innovate. And we are just getting started. The Celonis Process Collaboration Agent will not only speed up collaboration but enable us to handle a higher volume of credit blocks as the company grows. When processes work, we can toast to life together."

AgentC, which includes the Celonis Process Collaboration Agent, represents Celonis's approach to integrating AI within businesses to enhance process intelligence. Implementing AgentC allows businesses to develop and utilise AI agents that align with their operational workflows.
