CloudCasa extends support to OpenShift Virtualisation

Today

CloudCasa by Catalogic has announced that it will extend its support to Red Hat OpenShift Virtualisation Engine (OVE), enhancing its data protection capabilities for OpenShift environments.

The company now enables businesses to protect and migrate workloads seamlessly across various OpenShift platforms, including OVE, Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO), Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA), OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), and OpenShift Virtualization (OCP-V). These enhancements simplify disaster recovery processes across data centre, hybrid, multi-cloud, and edge environments while providing immutability for data resilience.

Pawel Staniec, CTO at Catalogic Software, said, "CloudCasa's expanded support for OpenShift Virtualization Engine underscores our dedication to meeting the needs of enterprises looking to replace their traditional hypervisor with OpenShift's platform for their virtual machines and prepare their infrastructure to run modern cloud-native applications."

"We've reaffirmed our commitment to provide OpenShift customers with the tools to protect and migrate their workloads across clusters and clouds effortlessly, ensuring resilience and continuity."

The latest update promotes operational simplicity by providing an integrated, enterprise-grade backup and recovery platform for virtual machines in OVE. This move aims to reduce downtime and operational complexity through fast and secure recovery solutions.

By embedding this new support within its existing platform, CloudCasa aims to enhance its offering as a data protection solution provider for those operating within OpenShift environments as enterprises increasingly turn to OpenShift to modernise their cloud-native applications.
