DoiT unveils CloudFlow, AI FinOps tool for cloud control
DoiT has launched CloudFlow, an automation platform that uses artificial intelligence to assist organisations in streamlining their FinOps operations across multiple cloud environments.
CloudFlow, described by DoiT as a no-code technology, is designed to allow businesses to build and implement automated cloud management workflows without the need for programming expertise. This is intended to improve the speed and efficiency of managing complex cloud infrastructures hosted on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and Kubernetes.
According to the company, the platform can automate a range of actions, such as adjusting workload sizes, migrating workloads, scheduling resources, applying tags to assets, and acting on cost-saving recommendations. The intent is to reduce human intervention in day-to-day FinOps tasks, while allowing organisations to reinforce their own governance and compliance standards.
Vadim Solovey, CEO at DoiT, said, "The benefits are powerful, but CloudFlow isn't just about automation, it makes FinOps scalable, proactive and impactful. CloudFlow can help teams better control expenses, manage data and improve infrastructure, going beyond cost optimization to drive reliability, performance and security in many ways. And it's proving particularly useful for enterprise-scale businesses that really need to leverage FinOps in order to get the most from resources."
CloudFlow works through prebuilt workload blueprints and allows for custom configurations. DoiT states that this gives organisations the ability to implement established best practices for cost optimisation and compliance, while minimising the need for manual execution. The platform supports FinOps automations for multiple cloud providers including AWS, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, and Azure.
The automation engine is integrated with other capabilities within DoiT Cloud Intelligence, such as Insights and Real-Time Anomaly Detection. This allows users to be alerted to inefficiencies or anomalies as they arise and automatically introduce corrective measures. DoiT also mentions that CloudFlow brings more than 400 integrations, which enable features such as one-touch approvals and automated documentation of workflow executions, aiding in audit and regulatory requirements.
DoiT referenced findings from the 5th Annual State of FinOps survey, which suggest that cloud governance, optimisation, and spend management are priorities for practitioners. The company's release highlighted the manual effort often required to implement FinOps recommendations and noted that without automation, many users face challenges in acting quickly to maximise efficiency.
Currently, DoiT's customers can access several functionalities through CloudFlow, including acting on cost insights in real time, automating optimisation actions, driving reliability and security via repeatable workflows, and applying automated tagging and policy enforcement to maintain cloud hygiene. These features are intended to reduce time spent on manual interventions and support the consistent enforcement of internal policies.
CloudFlow is positioned to address several use cases. These include automating the aggregation and application of insights to optimise cloud expenditure, configuring real-time automated cost alerts, ensuring adherence to organisational policies for financial control, managing and optimising cloud commitments, automatically scheduling resources to improve efficiency, and applying tags for resource attribution and management.
The platform is available immediately, and is offered at no additional cost to existing DoiT Cloud Intelligence customers.
