Elastic integrates Anthropic's Claude models for better AI insights
Elastic has announced the integration of the Elasticsearch Open Inference API with Anthropic's Claude models.
This integration includes Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Claude 3 Haiku, and Claude 3 Opus, enabling developers to access these models directly from their Anthropic accounts.
According to the announcement, this move aims to streamline data analysis and enhance the generation of insights. Michael Gerstenhaber, vice president of Product at Anthropic, stated, "The integration of Claude with Elasticsearch Open Inference API allows engineers to analyse proprietary data in real time and generate important context like signals, business insights, or metadata with our frontier model family."
Gerstenhaber added, "Supporting inference during ingestion pipelines provides more flexibility for users, particularly with features that generate and store answers to frequently asked questions to minimise latency and cost. This integration will help our common customers build efficient, reliable and beneficial AI applications."
Shay Banon, founder and chief technical officer at Elastic, commented on the collaboration, saying, "The pace and sophistication of Anthropic's innovation in building reliable AI systems is inspiring. Anthropic's Claude models are a welcome addition to the simple and powerful abstraction the Elasticsearch Open Inference API provides for developers."
Support for Claude models via the Elasticsearch Open Inference API is now available to developers. This integration aims to assist users in generating and storing answers, minimising latency and cost, and ultimately building efficient and reliable AI applications.
