Elastic & Tines expand partnership for AI-driven security
Elastic has announced an expansion of its partnership with Tines, integrating workflow automation capabilities with the Elastic Search AI Platform to mitigate alert fatigue, speed up responses, and decrease downtime for security and observability teams.
This collaboration is set to deliver enhanced security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) capabilities paired with AI-driven analytics for security teams. Observability teams will also see improvements, with automated incident response being a key feature of the updated integration.
Braxton Williams, Engineering Manager at Texas A&M System Cyber Operations, remarked, "We're thrilled about the Elastic and Tines partnership - it's been a game-changer for our team and our ability to protect our vast network of 11 universities, eight state agencies, and our seven external customers." Williams praised the expanded partnership for providing "unprecedented visibility across our complex network of environments" that assists in detection and response acceleration while facilitating seamless scalability of security operations.
The surge of data, alerts, and operational issues in today's digital environment necessitates swift and effective action from security analysts and operational teams. Elastic and Tines aim to provide the tools required to meet these challenges, even as teams face resource constraints and the necessity for inter-departmental collaboration.
"The time it takes to turn insights into action often determines the effectiveness of security and observability teams," stated Eoin Hinchy, Co-founder and CEO of Tines. He emphasised that the partnership delivers "faster issue resolution, reduced costs, and less stress and workload on practitioners" by combining real-time analysis with AI-powered workflows.
Key benefits from the newly integrated system include faster resolution of issues through the connection of disjointed systems and enhancement of workflow efficiency using AI. The platform aims to enable teams to perform repetitive tasks more quickly and consistently while reducing overall costs through the mitigation of security incidents and the avoidance of service disruptions.
Santosh Krishnan, General Manager of Security and Observability at Elastic, highlighted the advantages of the partnership: "Our partnership with Tines is a force multiplier, helping cut through the noise and break down data silos, supporting practitioners through automation and real-time insights that function seamlessly together."
The Tines Workflow Automation for the Elastic Search AI Platform is now available to Elastic customers, allowing organisations to take advantage of the enhanced capabilities for security and observability.
