Encompass appoints Neil Acworth as new Chief Information Security Officer
Encompass Corporation, a global provider of real-time digital Know Your Customer (KYC) profiles, has confirmed that Neil Acworth will be stepping into the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), reflecting their commitment to maintaining top-tier information security protocols for the global banking sector.
While security remains an ongoing priority across the financial services sector, especially in the current business and regulatory climate, Mr Acworth's appointment promises to underscore and augment Encompass' capacity to offer robust, data-centered procedures that bolster security, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Moreover, this applies not only to onboarding new clientele but also within existing relationships.
Mr Acworth, who brings with him decades worth of industry experience, including senior appointments such as CTO and CIO within RegTech firms, will be heading Encompass' information security team. Along with advocating best practices when it comes to tackling financial crime and fueling business growth, he will also be tasked with sustaining the firm's globally respected status.
Neil Acworth commented on his recent appointment, "I'm thrilled to join an industry-leading firm that is courting continuous growth and enhancing its value on a day-to-day basis. Banks and financial institutions rightly place a premium on information security, and it is incumbent upon us to demonstrate our near-obsessive commitment to it. It's evident that Encompass acknowledges this and is proactively working to solidify its place as a best-in-class partner."
He further added, "I'm eager to bring to bear my leadership acumen alongside my technical expertise, honed over decades, to this new role and contribute to heightening the business's reputation and success."
Stuart Barnard, VP of Finance and Business Operations at Encompass Corporation, expressed, "Operating in compliance is at the core of what we do, and Neil's appointment as our new CISO reflects this in terms of how we operate both internally and externally. For banks, security is more than just ticking a box; it is integral to business operations, and we are committed to being the proactive and trusted partner they require."
He went on to add, "Neil's extensive industry experience lends him a formidable technical and business authority. Moreover, his customer-centric approach makes him the ideal leader to aid our customers in successfully navigating what is a swiftly changing and intense industry landscape, ensuring they feel secure with Encompass."
The arrival of Mr Acworth follows Encompass' recent procurements of CoorpID and Blacksmith KYC, actions that further reinforce its mission to revolutionize KYC with Corporate Digital Identity (CDI). These acquisitions underline the firm's efforts to address the challenges of identifying and verifying corporate and institutional clients by means of real-time digital KYC profiles.
