Epson launches EM-C800 & EP-C800 printers

Fri, 22nd Nov 2024

Epson has introduced two new A4 colour printers to its business portfolio, namely the EM-C800 multi-function printer and the EP-C800 single-function printer.

Both models leverage PrecisionCore technology to deliver high productivity with minimal waste, aligning with Epson's aim for more efficient printing solutions.

The WorkForce Pro EM-C800 multi-function printer, alongside the EP-C800 single-function printer, is noted for its speed, efficiency, and low energy usage, making it suitable for busy workgroups.

These devices offer print speeds of up to 25 ISO pages per minute (mono/colour) and have a fast first-page output.

The introduction of a replaceable ink pack system (RIPS) in these models enables the printing of up to 50,000 ISO pages in mono or 20,000 ISO pages in colour before requiring an ink pack replacement.

Support for PCL3 and Adobe PostScript 3 enhances these printers' ability for shared network printing, while their open platform ensures easy integration with third-party solutions and enterprise applications.

Compatibility with the Epson Solutions Suite allows streamlined printer installation, device configuration, and workflow management, and provides remote diagnostics and operation. A suite of advanced security features is also available to manage user access.

Epson emphasizes reliability in these printers, which are designed for monthly print volumes of up to 5,000 pages and energy efficiency with low power consumption.

The replaceable ink pack system and paper capacity of up to 1,830 pages with optional trays minimise user intervention.

Productivity features of the EM-C800 include a 50-page automatic document feeder, automatic 2-sided printing, copying, duplex scanning at up to 60 images per minute, faxing, and scan-to-email capabilities.

The compact design of these models caters to efficient and streamlined workstations.

The printers also boast superior image quality by using DURABrite Ultra fast-drying, water-resistant pigment ink for vibrant colour and crisp text.

Epson's business printing solutions aim to transform office printing with features that minimize intervention, affordably, and with low energy consumption.

This launch is part of Epson's broader portfolio powered by PrecisionCore Heat-Free technology, ranging from desktop printers ideal for hybrid work environments to high-performance WorkForce Enterprise solutions, built with fewer moving parts to meet market demands.
