Exclusive: LogicMonitor leads hybrid observability across APJ region

Today

LogicMonitor is cementing its position as a leader in hybrid observability across the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.

With an emphasis on innovation, customer success, and a clear focus on AI-driven solutions, the company is helping organisations simplify complex IT environments while driving efficiency and growth.

Richard Gerdis, Vice President and General Manager of LogicMonitor APJ, is spearheading the company's expansion across a diverse and dynamic region.

"I've been with LogicMonitor for four years, and it's been an incredible journey. Joining during the pandemic posed challenges, but our platform's ability to solve critical IT problems resonated with the market," he explained.

Based in Singapore, Gerdis oversees operations across the region, ensuring a customer-first approach while driving innovation. "Our focus is on delivering customer success, entering new markets, and staying ahead of trends."

"We work closely with partners to extend our reach into markets where we don't have a physical presence," he added.

A Customer-Centric Approach
LogicMonitor supports a diverse range of industries, including telecommunications, banking, healthcare, logistics, and retail.

Customers in the APJ region include notable organisations such as NCS in Singapore, Spark NZ, Bupa, and John Holland Group in Australia.

Gerdis confirmed that while ANZ Bank is a key customer in Australia, their operations in New Zealand are supported by other clients, such as Spark NZ and NTT.

Customer satisfaction remains a cornerstone of LogicMonitor's strategy. "Our customers trust us to provide value and innovation, and that's reflected in our high retention rates," Gerdis said.

Spark NZ highlighted the platform's transformative impact on its operations: "LogicMonitor enabled us to consolidate tools, improve operational efficiency, and focus on what matters for Spark and our customers."

"It removes barriers to growth and enhances our managed services capabilities," said Graham Prowse, Head of Service Assurance Domain at Spark NZ.

John Holland Group also praised LogicMonitor's impact on their infrastructure management: "LogicMonitor guarantees a seamless digital experience for offsite users and enables us to proactively avoid issues."

"The time saved on identifying problems has significantly improved our productivity," said Kier Morrison, General Manager of IT Technology Operations.

Innovation at the Forefront
LogicMonitor's platform stands out for its advanced hybrid observability capabilities, powered by AI. Its generative AI tool, Edwin AI, has become a key differentiator.

"Edwin AI acts as a real-time teammate for IT operations, reducing alert fatigue, avoiding incidents, and expediting problem resolution," Gerdis explained.

CWRetail, one of LogicMonitor's customers, experienced remarkable improvements with Edwin AI.

"Edwin AI's predictive and proactive alerting capabilities reduced alert noise and detection times dramatically. It's an essential part of our IT team," said Jesse Cardinale, IT Infrastructure Manager at CWRetail.

LogicMonitor's regular updates further enhance its platform's usability. "Being SaaS-based allows us to release updates every three weeks, ensuring customers have access to the latest innovations without disruption," Gerdis said.

Expanding Regional Impact
As part of its regional expansion, LogicMonitor has made strategic investments to address local market needs. The company operates data centres in Singapore and Australia, ensuring compliance with data sovereignty requirements.

The new Singapore data centre has been a game-changer for NCS, a managed service provider:
"LogicMonitor's observability platform, hosted locally, enhances performance, security, and scalability. This investment strengthens our collaboration and delivers greater value to our customers," said Albert Koh, Senior Partner, Infrastructure, Enterprises, NCS.

LogicMonitor's focus on public sector opportunities in Australia has been bolstered by its successful IRAP assessment, aligning with stringent government security requirements. "This certification opens doors to support government agencies and other organisations with high-security needs," Gerdis explained.

Navigating Challenges in APJ
The APJ region's diversity presents unique challenges, including cultural differences, time zones, and vast geographic distances.

"Understanding local markets, spending time with customers, and leveraging partners are crucial to navigating this region effectively," Gerdis said.

Despite these complexities, Gerdis sees immense potential in key markets like Southeast Asia, India, and Australia. "India, in particular, is a focus area for us. We've recently added go-to-market resources and expect strong growth in the coming years," he shared.

Looking to the Future
As LogicMonitor continues its growth trajectory, Gerdis foresees AI and digital transformation driving the next phase of innovation.

"Organisations are moving from exploring AI to consolidating investments and looking for tangible outcomes. LogicMonitor is uniquely positioned to support that journey," he said.

The company's focus on customer success and innovation remains unwavering. "Our customers trust us not just to meet their current needs but to guide them into future opportunities. That's why we see such high retention rates," Gerdis explained.

Reflecting on LogicMonitor's journey, he concluded, "Our platform's ability to simplify complex IT environments is our magic power."

"It's what keeps our customers loyal and what fuels our growth across the APJ region."
