In a bold move to strengthen its stronghold in the ever-evolving technology sector, Australia's largest independent actuarial and strategic analytics firm, Finity, announces the recruitment of two eminent professionals to spearhead its technology innovation and product management avenues. This move is seen as a testament to the firm’s relentless commitment to offering market-leading solutions powered by deep industry knowledge and robust analytical heritage.

Managing Director Scott Collings commented on the fresh appointments, saying, “We are pleased to be driving our technology capabilities forward with the appointment of these key roles. As Finity’s business model continues to evolve, technology has become a key element of our offering alongside our deep industry knowledge and strong analytical heritage. These two roles are evidence of our relentless focus on delivering market-leading solutions to our clients.”

Marcello Negro steps into a pivotal role as the Head of Product Management and Marketing. With a rich experience spanning over a decade in General Insurance and a significant hold over areas such as pricing, automation, and data analytics, Negro envisions to take Finity's technological journey a notch higher. “I am proud to be part of the next evolution of Finity's technology journey, taking Finity’s vision forward and driving how we design, build, manage and market our technology capability,” Mr. Negro remarks on his appointment.

Furthermore, Edward Owen has been appointed as the Head of Product Development and Innovation, bringing a wealth of experience that stretches over 30 years across various domains, including software development, statistical analysis, and artificial intelligence. Owen, who was absorbed into the Finity family with the acquisition of the AI firm Deep Logic in 2019, aims to channel his expertise into building tailored solutions that facilitate growth for their clients. Speaking about his new role, he mentions, “Finity’s technology offering is built on a foundation of best practice platform, security, data engineering, and software architecture methodologies. It encompasses the latest Artificial Intelligence and machine learning techniques, underpinned by robust process automation. I am excited to lead this software development team, using our unique collaborative approach to build tailored solutions that facilitate growth for our clients.”

As it stands, Finity is at the forefront with an array of over 15 distinct software solutions, which includes the recently launched cloud-based visualization platform, Central. The firm maintains an independent approach, handling the design, build, and support phases of all its software solutions, ensuring a seamless and secure user experience.

With these strategic appointments, Finity seems well-positioned to carve out a technology-driven future, seamlessly blending its analytical prowess with innovative software solutions to meet the dynamic needs of its clientele.
