From AI to automation: How Pulseway redefines IT remote monitoring and management

Yesterday

IT pros are critical in keeping business operations running smoothly by maintaining efficient, secure and resilient IT environments.

In the last 12 months, Pulseway has equipped IT pros with groundbreaking innovation and product advancements.

In this article, we'll explore the key milestones and feature updates that have shaped Pulseway's journey over the past year, reinforcing why Pulseway remains the go-to RMM solution for IT pros in 2025 and beyond.

Major RMM innovations that redefined IT Management

Pulseway MDM: Effortlessly manage mobile devices

Managing mobile devices is crucial for IT teams. Pulseway MDM was launched to provide IT pros with unparalleled reliability and control over mobile device management.

The Mobile Device Management technology provides a comprehensive and centralized management tool for Apple devices (iOSmacOS and iPadOS). Fully integrated with Apple Business Manager, it automates discovery and device enrolment.

The MDM is continuously being enhanced, and soon, it will allow devices to be locked remotely. Also, Apple Store Apps Management will simplify app control using the Apple MDM protocol, meaning that technicians can deploy apps to devices automatically, automate app updates, and track installation and update statuses for better compliance.
We have also introduced advanced automation capabilities with dozens of new workflow templates to help solve issues faster and save time for more important projects.

Patch Management: Smarter and with 100% visibility

Patching is key to keeping IT endpoints fully compliant; that's why Pulseway recently enhanced patch management for greater control and visibility:

  • Patch approval workflow: The Patch Status page has been recently launched and allows technicians to review patches individually and either approve or reject installation. The patch category can filter the list, and a simple navigation with tabs shows Pending, Approved, Rejected and All Patches. Plus, the list of applicable devices will be listed by clicking on a specific patch to ensure full visibility.

Patching notifications: New Patch Policy notifications alert IT teams when:

  • A patch is pending review.
  • An error occurs during OS patching.
  • An error occurs during software patching.

Patching in Pulseway RMM will improve as coming releases introduce new functionality for controlling the Windows Update service outside of Pulseway.

The update empowers technicians with enhanced control and flexibility over Windows Update service management, addressing current needs and future patching scenarios.

Remote Control enhancements

Pulseway's built-in Remote Control received significant upgrades, making accessing and supporting remote devices easier and expanding technicians' autonomy to fix issues.

The most recent highlight in this module is the Remote Control on Demand, which enables Pulseway technicians to gain temporary remote desktop access to a computer without an agent installed, even if the user does not have Administrator-level permissions.

Other recent enhancements include:

  •  macOS Remote Control: IT teams can connect to macOS devices even when no user is logged in locally.
  • Remote Control for end users: End users can now use the Remote Control feature on associated devices from the Client Portal, improving self-service support.
  • Remote Control session recording: Remote Control sessions can now be recorded manually or automatically on Windows agents for better documentation of service desk tasks.

Easy-to-use RMM reporting feature

Another significant aspect of a powerful RMM is reporting. IT pros can now create custom reports in Pulseway with a few clicks, incorporating any data, look, feel or personal branding into the reports.
All custom reports can also be saved as custom templates for easy replication.

Powerful automation capabilities and AI Automation

Automation is the future of IT management, and Pulseway has expanded workflow automation with several key improvements:

  • Execute Workflow in a Workflow: With this new feature, any active Ad-hoc or Scheduled Workflow can now be executed from within another Workflow.

  • Import Workflow .flw files: We have introduced the ability to import Workflow.A few flat files were created using the existing Export Workflow feature. So, any existing Workflow canvas can be exported and imported on an ad-hoc basis to any Pulseway tenant.

  • New Workflow Templates: To simplify IT pros' lives, we have introduced dozens of new ready-to-use Automation Workflow Templates. In a few seconds, they can automate complex tasks.

In 2025, a great addition to the Automation module in Pulseway will happen with the AI Automation Workflow generator. With that, the market's most potent Automation engine will improve, allowing technicians to create new and complete Workflow with simple prompts.

Seamless integrations for a unified IT stack

Pulseway has been introducing integrations to make the IT stack smarter and offer the ability to manage everything from a single pane of glass.

  • Datto BCDR: IT pros can now deploy Datto BCDR backup and disaster recovery directly from Pulseway's web application and monitor backup statuses in real-time.

  • Datto Networking: Technicians can join Pulseway with Datto Networking networks to deliver a more efficient support experience. Networks will be automatically discovered, and the seamless enrolment of Networking devices, like Datto switches, routers, access points and managed power units, will simplify and automate network management.

  • Datto Endpoint Backup: Through Pulseway, users can deploy the Datto Endpoint Backup Agent and monitor the health status of the agent and the backups.

More integrations are coming to Pulseway in 2025, including Datto AV/EDR, Managed SOC powered by RocketCyber and Compliance Manager. These enhancements make RMM more powerful and help IT teams improve endpoint management and the monitoring of all environments.

Pulseway Assist: Revolutionizing PSA with AI

Efficiency took centre stage with the launch of Pulseway Assist — Pulseway artificial intelligence was designed to transform the way IT pros manage their ticketing and service desks through Pulseway PSA. The added AI-powered tools help technicians summarize tickets with a single click and quickly generate concise and professional responses to end users, making the service desk more enjoyable and efficient.

Future-proof IT environments with Pulseway
