Gallagher Security promotes Karl Harris to National High Security & Federal Manager
Tue, 24th Oct 2023

Global Security manufacturer Gallagher Security announced the internal promotion of Karl Harris to National High Security & Federal Manager in Australia. Harris has been an integral part of Gallagher Security since joining the Australian Sales team in 2015 as a Business Development Manager (BDM) in South Australia. He later advanced to a newly established role as Sales Manager for South Australia and Northern Territory (SA & NT), during which the region saw exceptional growth.

Harris has been instrumental in building relationships within the high-security space, making connections with key Defence primes. His proven ability to drive business expansion places him in an advantageous position to continue working closely with Gallagher’s High Security Channel Partners and Australian Federal Government clients. At the heart of his role will be a focus on customer satisfaction and development.

Craig Schutte, Gallagher Security’s Executive Vice President for Asia Pacific and India, Middle East, and Africa, described Harris as a "natural fit for the position." This justification rooted in Harris's longevity with the company and his expansive federal work experience in sensitive sites across the SA and NT regions. "Karl and his team have grown the Region in many key verticals, including Defence, Education, Mining, Councils, and Health," says Schutte.

Starting from 1 November, Harris will join Matt Turco, High Security Solutions Engineer to form Gallagher Security’s High Security Team for Australia. With a reputation for ensuring high-level support and service for all of Gallagher’s High Security and Federal clients, Harris is enthusiastic about the new role. "I am looking forward to applying the engagement and passion I have for High Security and Federal Accounts across SA and NT to my new position nationwide," says Harris.

Harris will be attending the Security & Government Expo (SAGE) on Thursday 16th November, anticipating a meet-up with partners and clients in the region. Meanwhile, the current team of Mark Vickery and George Dunleavy will continue to support Channel Partners and End Users across SA and NT. Given the developing nature of SA and the NT as key Defence locations, a replacement for the Sales Manager position will be sought as a priority to support Gallagher’s continued efforts in the region.

Harris's promotion heralds a recharged focus on customer satisfaction, development, and business expansion within the high-security space. As he steps into the new role of National High Security & Federal Manager, Harris brings to bear a wealth of industry experience and dedication to client support on a national scale.
