GoDaddy launches GoDaddy Airo AI tool for Australian SMBs
GoDaddy has announced the launch of GoDaddy Airo, a new generative AI tool intended to enhance business efficiency for entrepreneurs in Australia. The tool aims to simplify the process of creating an online presence, including the design of logos, websites, emails, and social media campaigns, in minutes.
New data compiled by GoDaddy reveals that generative AI can save entrepreneurs an average of 27 hours per month and approximately AUD $7,800 per year. Research conducted for the company surveyed over 300 microbusiness owners in Australia, revealing that 20% are already leveraging generative AI to support business activities. These entrepreneurs have reported significant time savings, equating to around 324 hours annually, or approximately nine working weeks, per year.
GoDaddy Airo's capabilities include recommending catchy domain names with a simple description of a business idea, generating content for websites, designing unique, custom logos, and creating professional email accounts to boost business credibility. Additionally, it offers custom photo descriptions for online stores.
Tamara Oppen, Vice President of English Markets for GoDaddy, commented on the initiative, saying, "GoDaddy Airo simplifies the integration of AI for small businesses, offering a powerful new experience to enhance their online presence. Generative AI is the great equaliser for small businesses, that traditionally may have only been reserved for larger companies. Our research shows that AI is not only saving online business owners time and money but also enhancing the overall work-life balance for entrepreneurs."
GoDaddy's survey findings show that the majority of Australian entrepreneurs are utilising AI for various purposes. Around 68% employ AI for content creation, while 49% use it for marketing activities. Over a quarter of the respondents are integrating AI into their customer service offerings. AI adoption appears to alleviate some common challenges associated with running small businesses. For instance, 52% of those who reported saving money through AI also felt less stressed, and 42% said they had been able to enjoy more time for leisure activities.
In addition to the time and financial savings, the integration of generative AI has led to further investments in business growth. Half of the surveyed entrepreneurs reported reinvesting in product development, and 25% indicated they had even started an additional micro business.
The research suggests a growing interest in AI's potential benefits among Australian entrepreneurs. "With 51% of surveyed entrepreneurs expressing interest in AI's potential benefits, GoDaddy Airo is poised to play a crucial role in driving innovation and growth within the Australian small business sector," said Oppen.
"Nearly half of entrepreneurs surveyed are interested in using AI for creating video and imagery, as well as writing product descriptions and website copy. We're just scratching the surface of what's possible. GoDaddy Airo will continue to evolve, ensuring small businesses benefit from the latest advancements in AI technology."
