Ceridian, the global leader in human capital management (HCM) technology, has excitingly announced that it will transition its brand to Dayforce from January 2024. The decision was made public at the company's INSIGHTS 2023 annual customer conference held in Las Vegas and live-streamed online.
The new brand identity highlights the company's focus on its flagship product, Dayforce distributed platform, signalling its ambition to increase its prominence in the online HCM space.
David Ossip, Chair and Co-CEO of Ceridian emphasised the significance of this change, stating, "Dayforce represents our products, company, and community at their best, so it is only fitting that we are doubling down on the brand as we look to accelerate our growth as the go-to global people platform." With the re-branding to Dayforce, the company aims to create clarity for organisations already navigating the workforce complexity crisis and advance their shared ambition of making work-life better.
The company's annual customer focus, INSIGHTS 2023, offered an immersive experience centred around the theme “A Brand New Dayforce”. The conference afforded attendees the chance to explore methods of leveraging the new platform to their advantage.
Leagh Turner, Co-CEO of Ceridian, spoke about the broader implications of this shift, stating, “This moment is so much more than a brand change. It represents our continued transformation as a company - furthering our products into an AI-threaded future, the potential of our people, and the vibrancy of our services, support, and ecosystem. As Dayforce, we will infuse every inch of the business with even greater energy, focus, and agility to deepen customer value and realise our future".
The Dayforce software, initially a product of the acquired Dayforce Corporation, has been a core product for Ceridian since 2012. It is a leading HCM cloud solution delivering value globally, and as such, has been ranked as a market leader consistently. Following its 2018 IPO on the NYSE and TSX, Ceridian began focusing its growth efforts, such as extending the Dayforce platform and accelerating global expansion.
During 2024, the Dayforce brand will replace Ceridian and its global operating entities. However, the company does not expect ongoing brand initiatives to impact its current fiscal year 2023 guidance.
