Illumio expands Enlighten Partner Programme for growth

Today

Illumio has announced an expansion of its global Enlighten Partner Program in response to a growing demand for Zero Trust Segmentation (ZTS) solutions.

The program now includes a comprehensive curriculum and complimentary hands-on training, aimed at facilitating the sale, implementation, and operation of Illumio solutions by its partners. A new pricing program and a no-cost services enablement program are also part of the initiative, offering price protection and assurance to partners looking to invest in Illumio's offerings.

James Ormesher, Chief Growth Officer at Tesserent, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Illumio, stating, "Tesserent (cyber solutions by Thales) is proud to be a key cybersecurity partner of Illumio."

"We are allies in the battle to protect Australian Governments, Enterprises and all Australians from escalating cyber crime. Illumio's micro segmentation is a necessary architecture for Zero Trust frameworks and working together we can prevent ransomware and breaches from reaching critical levels that compromise business operations."

The effectiveness of microsegmentation as part of a Zero Trust strategy was emphasised by Todd Palmer, Senior Vice President of Global Partner Sales and Alliances at Illumio. He commented, "The value of microsegmentation is indisputable. Organisations understand the necessity and want to proceed, but the perceived complexity often stands in the way. This creates an enormous opportunity for our partners. To empower our partners, we've evolved our partner program to ensure they have all the necessary resources and support to guide their customers forward with microsegmentation as part of their Zero Trust journey."

Chris Nicholson, Area Vice President, Global Security Sales & Advisory at World Wide Technology, highlighted the progress made by Illumio in addressing industry challenges related to lateral movement of attacks. "Microsegmentation is something the industry would have liked to have solved a long time ago. The inevitability of an attack makes limiting the blast radius paramount. But there are reasons why lateral movement has been allowed to go unchecked, not the least of which is a level of confusion in the market as to how to do this simply," he said. "Illumio has leveraged its expertise in Zero Trust Segmentation to thoughtfully evolve its program, providing WWT with resources to guide our clients through their Zero Trust journey."

Jean-Baptiste Pommé, General Manager at MIEL, discussed the relevance of microsegmentation for cybersecurity infrastructures, as observed in France.

"We have been distributing Illumio in France since 2020 and we can see now that customers are more and more conscious that microsegmentation is one of the main cybersecurity components of their infrastructure. As the leader in the microsegmentation market, Illumio's technology presents a significant opportunity for our partners. Their solution is flexible, simple to use and to implement."

Illumio's ZTS platform is designed to prevent breaches from spreading across various environments by using a proprietary graph that visualises connectivity and AI-driven insights to detect anomalies and malicious activity. This system enables the creation of granular policies to only permit necessary connections, effectively isolating breaches by reducing and restricting lateral movement pre-emptively or in reaction to an incident.
