Index Engines achieves major growth with CyberSense software

Today

Index Engines has reported significant advancements in its cyber resilience strategies in 2024, marked by the widespread adoption of its CyberSense software and organisational growth.

CyberSense, a solution designed to detect ransomware and ensure data recoverability, experienced substantial traction globally. With increasing ransomware incidents, this software has become integral for many businesses prioritising data integrity and recovery.

Tim Williams, Chief Executive Officer at Index Engines, commented on the company's achievements, stating, "2024 was a transformative year for Index Engines. We scaled our business to new heights, expanded our global footprint, and solidified our leadership in cyber resilience and recovery. As ransomware tactics evolved, we stayed ahead, empowering organisations to confidently navigate cyber challenges, mitigate risks, and quickly recover to normal business operations in the ever-evolving cyber landscape."

During the year, Index Engines strengthened its market presence through alliances with companies such as Dell, IBM, and Infinidat. These collaborations have propelled CyberSense's visibility and adoption across various sectors.

In terms of financial growth, Index Engines reported a 112% year-on-year sales increase in the banking industry, driven by the sector's demand for enhanced ransomware defence. The company also saw growth in several other industries: 35% in healthcare, 25% in financial services, and 15% in IT services.

Resellers significantly contributed to Index Engines' expansion, achieving a 58% surge in sales of unique resellers in 2024. In the third quarter alone, they generated a 73% increase in new customer acquisition and a 78% boost in revenue compared to the previous year's corresponding period.

In a strategic move, Index Engines expanded its leadership team. New appointments included Neil DiMartinis as Chief Revenue Officer and Jim Clancy, the former President of Global Storage Sales at Dell Technologies, to the Advisory Board. Additionally, Danielle Goode Coady joined as Vice President of Marketing, and Scott Cooper was promoted to Vice President of Field Engineering.

Index Engines' CyberSense received considerable market validation, earning commendations from the Enterprise Strategy Group for its AI capabilities in detecting data corruption with a 99.99% Service Level Agreement. CyberSense's efficiency was further validated by independent testing from Principled Technologies, which confirmed that it could detect three types of attacks in a single scan - effectiveness that required many more scans with competing technologies.

The firm continued its winning streak by securing ten prestigious awards, acknowledging its contributions to innovation in cybersecurity and excellence in data protection.

On a global scale, Index Engines expanded its reach in Asia-Pacific, South America, and the Middle East, enhancing its sales and support infrastructure to better serve these regions. CyberSense is now operational in over 70 countries and across more than 50 industries.
