Infor named Leader in IDC MarketScape MES assessment

Today

Infor has been recognised as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape Worldwide Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) 2024-2025 Vendor Assessment report.

The IDC MarketScape evaluated various vendors using a detailed and rigorous framework based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria. This resulted in a graphical illustration displaying each vendor's position within the market, highlighting Infor's strengths in the field.

Lorenzo Veronesi, Associate Research Director of Manufacturing Insights at IDC, commented, "As innovative concepts continue to surface, choosing a vendor committed to long-term innovation while fulfilling business demands is vital. With a wide array of solutions available, it is essential to select an MES that caters to the specific characteristics of production processes and industries, can be deployed swiftly for immediate benefits, and is designed to remain relevant in the future."

Infor Manufacturing Execution System, previously known as Lighthouse Systems (Shopfloor-Online), is described as a user-friendly platform that supports manufacturers transitioning to digitally transformed operations. It includes comprehensive functions for managing production processes, quality assurance, inventory control, maintenance, and traceability while also offering real-time monitoring of equipment through Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) integration.

Matt Barber, Vice President and General Manager of MES at Infor, stated, "We're thrilled to be recognised as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape report. We believe we were recognised for our broad MOM functionality and extensive out-of-the-box configuration capabilities. Our MES is designed with operational users in mind, offering a modern connected experience for teams across the factory. We believe our customers deserve a configurable and composable platform with deep last-mile functionality, reducing the need for customisation and lowering the total cost of ownership. Innovation and user-experience are at the heart of everything we do, and we further believe this recognition by the IDC MarketScape is a testament to our achievement in this area and the value Infor can bring to manufacturers through our broad ecosystem."

The Infor MES is a key component of Infor's manufacturing solutions, as it is integrated with CloudSuite ERP and Infor OS. This integration assists customers in future-proofing their operations with artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The recognition by the IDC MarketScape as a Leader underlines Infor's commitment to developing user-focused solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs, providing considerable value to manufacturers undertaking digital transformations.
