Ingram Micro partners with Scality for Australasian expansion

Today

Ingram Micro and Scality have announced a strategic alliance to advance the distribution of Scality's object-storage software, ARTESCA, across Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.

The collaboration aims to provide businesses in these regions with scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions to manage their growing data storage needs. Ingram Micro and Scality will work together to enhance the availability of ARTESCA, thereby aiding enterprises in addressing challenges related to data accessibility, durability, and security.

"Data accessibility, durability, and security are some of the most pressing challenges businesses face today," stated Stuart Murray, Vendor Business Manager at Ingram Micro. "To manage data confidently and effectively, businesses today need the flexibility to adapt to ever-changing data requirements, protect against ransomware, and comply with evolving regulations. The first step for channel partners is to ensure that proper storage and backup solutions are in play. We are pleased to expand our data solutions portfolio with Scality and help our channel partners enhance protection for their businesses and customers."

This partnership will enable Scality to leverage Ingram Micro's extensive partner ecosystem and expertise in the region, thereby extending the reach of its secure, simple object-storage solutions. The collaboration is expected to benefit businesses through the provision of enterprise-grade storage solutions and to support hybrid cloud, AI, and ransomware protection services.

"Scality's relationship with Ingram Micro allows us to leverage their extensive partner ecosystem and expertise in the region," commented Brett Lobwein, Scality Country Manager for Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific. "After successfully expanding our business in the Australian market with our OEM partners, now is the ideal time to bring Ingram Micro Australia on board to enhance our go-to-market strategy through the channel."

Ingram Micro will provide comprehensive support to channel partners involved in delivering Scality's solutions, including resources for smooth deployment and maximisation of performance for customers. This is part of Ingram Micro's services aimed at ensuring customer success and includes training and enablement services.

Further benefits from this alliance include access to a wide range of alliance vendors and pre- and post-sales expertise. Additionally, Scality customers will have the advantage of using Ingram Micro's Xvantage AI-powered digital platform, which promises to streamline operations, simplify subscription management, optimise accounting processes, and prevent license expirations. This platform also assists in revenue prediction, tracking, and features an autogenerated renewal function to help secure customer relationships.

The Xvantage platform's features, particularly robust tools for revenue prediction and a renewal function, are designed to enhance partner operations. It aims to reduce service level agreement (SLA) times and maintain full visibility into quotes, ultimately freeing up time for business growth and improving customer engagement.

"Customers can expect measurable benefits, including cost savings, robust security, and scalability for workloads across core, cloud, and edge environments," added Murray. "With access to tailored solutions for hybrid and multi-cloud environments, modernisation projects, such as virtualisation and application upgrades, can be implemented more easily, allowing businesses to optimise performance and future-proof data infrastructure."
