Inlight joins MACH Alliance to boost flexible tech in Australia

Fri, 28th Nov 2025

Melbourne-based digital product agency Inlight has become Australia's first Boutique System Integrator member of the MACH Alliance. The appointment positions Inlight alongside a global cohort focused on advancing composable and AI-ready technology architectures for digital experiences.

MACH Alliance role

The MACH Alliance is an international group that promotes open and modular technology solutions built on Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, and Headless architecture. The group aims to enable businesses to move away from legacy systems and adopt more flexible, scalable digital models.

As a Boutique System Integrator member, Inlight contributes expertise in designing, integrating and managing digital platforms suited to Australian enterprises. The agency delivers vendor-neutral advice and works to simplify and modernise enterprise digital infrastructure.

Australian impact

Inlight's involvement brings industry-recognised MACH principles to local Australian organisations. The agency is working with clients such as Cancer Council Victoria and Powershop to deliver projects using MACH-aligned frameworks. These projects aim to reduce deployment times, strengthen system integration, and enhance scalability.

Collaboration is central to Inlight's strategy. Partnerships include MACH-certified Independent Software Vendors such as Braze, Contentful, and mParticle, as well as cloud providers such as Vercel and AWS. Through these collaborations, Inlight develops technology solutions that are tailored to specific client needs.

Composable methodology

Inlight's ongoing COMPOSE event series brings together Australian digital and technology leaders to discuss the role of composable architecture. The series examines how such approaches can boost innovation, increase operational efficiency, and support enterprise-wide adoption of tools such as artificial intelligence while maintaining security and scalability.

Commenting on the company's direction, "Inlight's MACH Alliance membership is an important step in our commitment to helping Australian organisations evolve beyond legacy technology. As AI accelerates change across every part of the digital landscape, adopting a composable foundation gives organisations the flexibility and confidence to integrate emerging capabilities and deliver real business outcomes," said Patrick Carne, CEO, Inlight.

AI integration

With MACH's modular, API-first foundation, enterprises can adapt more quickly as AI technologies evolve. Inlight's approach facilitates seamless integration of emerging AI capabilities across an organisation's technology stack. The agency aims to enable its clients to build digital platforms that accommodate evolving business needs and customer demands.

"Inlight's MACH Alliance membership is an important step in our commitment to helping Australian organisations evolve beyond legacy technology. As AI accelerates change across every part of the digital landscape, adopting a composable foundation gives organisations the flexibility and confidence to integrate emerging capabilities and deliver real business outcomes," said Carne.
