Insight named emerging visionary in Gartner GenAI services report

Fri, 25th Jul 2025

Insight Enterprises has been named an "Emerging Visionary" in Gartner's inaugural Innovation Guide for Generative AI Consulting and Implementation Services.

This designation marks Insight as one of the organisations identified by Gartner for its work in moving beyond the experimental stage to real-world applications of generative AI (GenAI) solutions. The report defines this market as helping enterprises "deploy tailored GenAI solutions at optimal speed, scale, cost, risk and value."

GenAI consultancy and implementation are forecast to expand rapidly, with market size predicted to increase from $7.4 billion in 2024 to over $127.5 billion by 2028. Insight's inclusion in the guide reflects the company's growing activity as businesses seek to operationalise AI at scale while aligning with shifts in global IT investment.

Industry recognition

Mike Morgan, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, APAC, at Insight, welcomed the recognition.

"We're proud to be included in Gartner's first Emerging Market Quadrant for Generative AI Consulting and Implementation Services. It's no longer a question of if businesses will use AI, but how they will overcome significant hurdles like unclear business value, escalating costs, and inadequate risk management. Our clients need trusted partners who can help them cut through the hype and guide them from pilot to production. We believe this recognition reflects our ability to deliver secure, ethical, high-performing GenAI solutions that drive real business value."

The Gartner report noted: "Emerging Visionaries often introduce new technology, services or business models. They may be smaller vendors innovating ahead of demand or those experimenting with emerging ideas, but their ability to deliver is less proven."

Practical applications in APAC

Insight's GenAI consulting and implementation services cover strategic advisory, design, infrastructure enablement, and managed services. The company's approach is described as end-to-end, involving partnerships with cloud infrastructure providers, software vendors, and AI platform specialists. The objective is to establish responsible AI practices and create integrated strategies across data, infrastructure, security, and personnel.

Within the Asia-Pacific region, Insight has implemented GenAI projects across several industries. At Kids Helpline, a counselling service run by not-for-profit organisation yourtown, Insight deployed an AI-powered solution for clinical note-taking. As a result, post-call administrative tasks were reduced by 70%, enabling over 200 counsellors to handle more than 130,000 contacts a year and respond more quickly to emergencies. The implementation was built on Azure OpenAI and Dynamics 365, and integrated with yourtown's electronic health records system.

Additionally, in collaboration with Cricket Australia, Insight has enhanced the Cricket Australia Live app to deliver real-time, AI-generated insights. The application provides fans and players with running updates that go beyond traditional commentary, drawing attention to significant performances, milestones, and key narratives in real time.

Market trajectory

The Gartner research underscores that the GenAI market is set for continued rapid growth. The report states, "because many enterprises believe GenAI can transform their industries, the market is projected to continue its growth trajectory from an estimated $7.4 billion in 2024 toward exceeding $127.5 billion globally by 2028."

Insight believes that its recognition as an Emerging Visionary results from its ability to support clients as they overcome challenges in adopting GenAI. These challenges include issues ranging from data governance and security to scalability and return on investment.

Insight's GenAI practice aims to address common industry concerns, with a particular focus on guiding clients through the implementation process to avoid pitfalls such as unexpected cloud costs and fragmented IT strategies.
