Ipsotek unveils Natural Language Search in AI video analytics engine
Tue, 9th Apr 2024

Ipsotek, an Eviden business and global operator of AI-powered video analytics, has unveiled a significant development in its flagship Artificial Intelligence Video Analytics (AIVA) engine. This innovative modification enables users of the VISuite platform to use Natural Language Search (NLS) to identify objects within videos, a breakthrough in operational security.

VISuite AI, also known as the Eviden Computer Vision platform software stack, presents users with the tools to bolster safety, operations, business intelligence, and security through instantaneous alerts and a comprehensive dashboard. NLS allows users to obtain information using commonplace spoken language, proving a highly adaptable alternative to AI models in traditional computer vision platforms, which depend on pre-set criteria and choices for object and behaviour recognition.

Dr Boghos Boghossian, Chief Technology Officer and Global Sales Director at Ipsotek, hailed this latest enhancement: "We are thrilled to announce this major step forward for AIVA. The AIVA engine has always been at the forefront of video analytics, and this capability marks a significant leap forward. Users can now leverage the power of natural language to search videos, fulfilling a key aspect of our original vision of AIVA: when it understands our spoken words."

The updated AIVA integrated with Ipsotek's VISuite offers various benefits for users, including effortless object search. Users can swiftly locate objects in videos by inputting a natural language description such as "find the red car" or "a person holding a black bag." Moreover, Ipsotek's patented Scenario-Based Rule engine is significantly enhanced with AIVA's new natural language capacities. Thus, users can create intricate video analyses in mere seconds without requiring prior training.

The AIVA system's advanced capabilities also allow for challenging object identification that might be tough for the human eye to discern, especially in densely populated or intricate scenes. Additionally, this revolutionary evolution in AIVA broadens the scope for numerous potential applications, preparing users to confront unexpected challenges and refine video analytics across a wide variety of industries.

Dr Boghossian further articulated the potential of this innovation: "This update to AIVA within VISuite exemplifies Ipsotek's dedication to continuous innovation and pushing the boundaries of AI, computer vision, and big data. By leveraging the ever-evolving power of AIVA, Ipsotek empowers its clients to unlock the true potential of computer vision." The inclusion of natural language search into video analytics in such a manner will doubtlessly lead to new and compelling developments in AI-powered video analytics in the future.

Ipsotek's unveiling of Natural Language Search (NLS) within its flagship Artificial Intelligence Video Analytics (AIVA) engine marks a groundbreaking advancement in operational security and video analytics. This innovative modification not only enhances the user experience by allowing for effortless object search but also showcases Ipsotek's commitment to continuous innovation in AI, computer vision, and big data.

With this leap forward, integrating NLS into video analytics paves the way for new and compelling developments, empowering users across various industries to unlock the true potential of computer vision and confront challenges with greater efficiency and precision.
