Kinetic IT named to WA Government’s new CUATIS2024 tech panel

Tue, 26th Aug 2025

Kinetic IT has been appointed as a pre-approved supplier to the Western Australian Government's CUATIS2024 Technology Infrastructure and Solutions panel.

The CUATIS2024 framework is the State Government's new whole-of-government buying arrangement for technology infrastructure and solutions, replacing the previous GovNext-ICT CUA. The updated panel is intended to provide government agencies with greater flexibility and autonomy in meeting their ICT requirements, while maintaining access to reputable, secure, and modern ICT solutions through a competitive choice of providers.

The agreement, which has an initial term of five years and the option for an additional two-year extension, is structured to simplify and speed up procurement processes for agencies across Western Australia. Under the arrangement, Kinetic IT has been pre-approved for two key panels: Panel 1 – Infrastructure & Facilities, covering the resale, installation, and integration of networking equipment and data centre equipment; and Panel 3 – Managed Services, focusing on managed infrastructure.

Panel categories

Within Panel 1, Kinetic IT is pre-approved for Category 1A Networking Equipment and Category 1B Data Centre Equipment. This encompasses the supply and integration of networking products such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions, along with the design and delivery of data centre products including servers, storage, UPS, and other core infrastructure equipment.

Panel 3 – specifically Category 3B Managed Infrastructure – extends Kinetic IT's scope to provide end-to-end managed infrastructure services. This covers on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments, with clear scopes and a standardised ordering process intended to reduce complexity for government agencies.

As a pre-approved supplier under the CUATIS2024 arrangement, Kinetic IT can be engaged by WA Government agencies for the entire lifecycle of their infrastructure projects, covering delivery, integration, and ongoing support from the outset.

Comments from Kinetic IT

"Being selected for CUATIS2024 demonstrates Kinetic IT's trusted relationships and proven track record with WA agencies," Lyons said. "We are local and understand local context; we can draw from our trusted relationships with local customers, and with support from our national partner network, deliver solutions that are citizen and outcome focused."

David Lyons, Kinetic IT's Director of Regional Engagement WA, stated that the selection highlights the company's longstanding track record with state agencies and its commitment to ongoing partnership with the Western Australian Government.

"What I enjoy most about my job is helping customers. This panel opens up new and simple pathways to do exactly that - making it easier for state government to engage with Kinetic IT and achieve impactful outcomes for Western Australians".

Kinetic IT was founded and remains headquartered in Perth. Over the years it has become one of Australia's largest independently owned ICT services providers, with continued investment in its local workforce and broader capability. The company noted that its appointment to CUATIS2024 places it amongst a select group of Western Australia-based suppliers who are joined by national and multinational companies on the panel.

Recent government contracts

This appointment follows a number of recent state government engagements for Kinetic IT. In April 2025, Main Roads Western Australia selected the company as lead partner for end-to-end technology services. In a separate development, Landgate has awarded Kinetic IT a ten-year managed services contract, scheduled to commence from 1 November 2024.

The CUATIS2024 framework offers a standardised and efficient process for WA Government agencies to access ICT infrastructure and managed services from pre-approved suppliers. Agencies looking to procure services through the panel have access to a wider range of technology partners, with the process designed to accelerate delivery and reduce procurement overheads while maintaining focus on security and suitability of technology solutions.
