Tue, 20th Jun 2023

In a significant move to bolster its business operations, Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) announced the appointment of Luke Skinner as Head of Commercial Channel & Distribution for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). This comes as Sunny Gandhi, the former holder of the position, steps into a regional role of One Channel Lead for Greater Asia Pacific.

Skinner is not new to Lenovo or the tech industry. With over 15 years of experience working with major technology firms in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Ireland, he has established a commendable track record. Since 2021, as Head of Distribution, Skinner was pivotal in strengthening Lenovo's foothold in the regional partner ecosystem.

In his new role, Skinner will helm the Lenovo 360 team in ANZ, driving innovative channel support and management for seamless access to Lenovo's comprehensive product and service offerings. Lenovo 360 is a unique channel framework designed to empower partners to seize service-led, solutions-based opportunities with their customers, leading to increased revenue streams.

In a press statement, Skinner comments, "I am excited to take on such a crucial role within Lenovo and lead our commitment to the success of our valued local partners even further." He also added his eagerness to continue driving operational excellence, innovation, and exceptional results within the partner ecosystem.

Meanwhile, Sunny Gandhi, after successfully leading Lenovo ANZ’s Channel & Distribution strategy for over half a decade, has been elevated to a regional role. Speaking about Skinner's appointment, Gandhi says, "With his unwavering commitment and acute understanding of the ANZ landscape, I couldn’t be more confident of the success his leadership will bring to Lenovo, our valued partners, and distributors."

Over his career, Skinner has led the successful launch of several key initiatives around as-a-service offerings and partner enablement programs across organisations like Ingram Micro, Next Technology, and WatchGuard Technologies. He also holds a committee membership in the Women in Lenovo Leadership (WILL) program, reflecting his diverse contributions to the tech giant.
