Lenovo supercharges hybrid cloud platform for AI expansion
Mon, 18th Dec 2023

Lenovo has announced major upgrades to its hybrid cloud platform, enhancing its capabilities for AI applications via new ThinkAgile hyperconverged solutions and ThinkSystem servers. The advanced platform, designed to help customers transition from AI concept to reality, leverages existing IT architecture and is poised to be a pivotal part in fostering a dynamic hybrid AI approach across public, private, and personal models, thus enabling AI for all.

The next-generation ThinkAgile hybrid cloud solutions, fuelled by the latest Intel Xeon Scalable Processors, promise to bolster AI performance while building cloud agility. By offering more compute and faster memory when and where it's required, Lenovo is in a position to help its customers reduce their IT footprint, achieve a better return on investment (ROI) and deliver accurate business results. The company’s TruScale-as-a-service offerings assist customers in simplifying IT and expediting AI with new integrated hybrid cloud for edge capabilities that empower businesses to grow, equipping them with the resources needed.

Sumir Bhatia, President – AP, Lenovo ISG, stated, "This launch marks a step towards strengthening our commitment to AI for All. Our new Hybrid Cloud Platforms propel innovation and offer to create a faster, more flexible path to AI. With up to 15 percent better performance, customers can leverage these solutions to achieve greater ROI and deliver accurate business outcomes. These solutions are offered in a consumption model and seamlessly integrate with existing IT infrastructure for a dynamic hybrid AI approach."

Amit Luthra, Managing Director - India, Lenovo ISG, echoed Bhatia's sentiment, stating, "As Indian businesses undergo IT modernisation, Lenovo recognises and is dedicated to meeting the need for enhanced performance to accelerate AI applications. Our Hybrid AI solutions offer a scalable pathway for AI implementations, presenting cost-effective models that align seamlessly with the needs of diverse businesses in India.”

The upgrades to Lenovo's platform include integrated hybrid cloud solutions that are optimised for AI, developed to support complex workloads right out of the box. The new ThinkAgile offerings, like the HX, MX and VX, are engineered hybrid cloud solutions which accelerate AI PC tasks across local, public, and private hybrid AI models with speed and diligence. Using marquee partnerships with Nutanix, Microsoft, and VMware, the solutions enable faster backup and recovery, and can reduce deployment time by up to 75%.

Furthermore, Lenovo offers Professional Services for AI, a single vendor solution that assists organisations in making sense of AI, and guides them through the most effective end-to-end IT deployments tailored to obtain their desired business outcomes quickly.
