MICROMINE announces new CEO

Former MYOB Group COO Andrew Birch has been named as the new CEO for software consulting firm for the mining sector, MICROMINE.

Birch, who took over the role last month, has 25 years' experience in the tech sector for both publicly-listed and privately held company.

Most recently he was MYOB's COO, responsible for the company's strategic direction and delivery across MYOB's go-to-market business units. He has also led and integrated a range of acquisitions across the business.

In addition to delivering both top and bottom-line financial outcomes, Birch has been a keen driver of client satisfaction and employee engagement with MYOB enjoying top quartile performance.

Prior to his roles at MYOB, he worked within several senior management positions across the telecommunications, software and tech sectors. He has worked with the likes of Honeywell Pacific and Vodafone Australia, as well as mid-size technology businesses within Australia and New Zealand.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology and an MBA from RMIT.
