Moody's recruits Jeremy Schwartz as new Oceania leader
Moody's, a prominent provider of financial intelligence and analytical tools, has recently announced the appointment of Jeremy Schwartz as its new regional leader for Oceania. Mr Schwartz will be based in the company's Australian office, playing a central role in further developing Moody's progression and expansion in the region.

In his new role, Schwartz will work alongside a wide array of entities, including but not limited to financial institutions, insurers, wealth asset managers, corporations and governments. He is tasked with aiding these entities in successfully navigating this new era of exponential risk, which is multifaceted, encompassing areas such as compliance, credit, supply chains, ESG factors and cybersecurity.
The decision to employ Schwartz as the regional head of Oceania comes at a time when Moody's is demonstrating strong potential for growth in the area. His substantial experience in the industry and leadership skills promise to be a significant asset in propelling the company's future advancement.
Schwartz joined Moody's team in 2018 in Chicago, USA, and has held a number of important roles within its corporate and professional services divisions. Most recently, he has been at the forefront of shaping Moody's global commercial strategy, effectively maximising revenue through partnerships with the Big Four accounting firms.
Prior to joining Moody's, Schwartz spent eight years working within the credit rating industry, covering sales and management roles, and providing services to wealth asset managers, corporations and government clients. His educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts from Lake Forest College, Illinois.
