Nakivo Q1 revenue rises as MSP base expands worldwide

Wed, 3rd Jun 2026 (Today)

NAKIVO reported first-quarter growth in managed service provider numbers, revenue and customer count, with its paid customer base expanding across more countries.

The number of MSPs using its products rose 18% from a year earlier, while total revenue increased 4%. Customer numbers grew 9% to more than 16,000 paid customers across 190 countries and territories.

Its MSP business remained the company's main growth driver. NAKIVO worked with MSPs across 135 countries and territories, highlighting the scale of its partner-led route to market.

"Our Q1 results reflect the continued strength of our MSP business and the increasing need for reliable, cost-effective data protection solutions," said Bruce Talley, Chief Executive Officer of NAKIVO.

"MSPs are turning to NAKIVO Backup & Replication to expand their service portfolios at margins well above the market, driven by predictable monthly licensing built for MSP economics, multi-tenant management, and one platform covering virtual, physical, cloud, and SaaS workloads," Talley said.

Regional mix

Revenue remained heavily weighted toward EMEA, which accounted for 61% of first-quarter sales. The Americas accounted for 27%, while APJ accounted for 11%.

EMEA was also the strongest regional performer, with revenue up 4% year on year. NAKIVO attributed that to partner expansion and customer adoption in the region.

Several countries posted sharp quarter-on-quarter gains, with revenue doubling in Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Colombia, Georgia, Vietnam, Romania, Switzerland, Greece, Portugal, Israel, Australia and Latvia.

The customer base widened further with the addition of the first customer in Sint Maarten. New customers included Naval War College, Softgarte, CACI and Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia.

Partner growth

Channel expansion continued, with 209 new partners added during the quarter. NAKIVO also signed its first partner in Senegal, extending its presence into another market.

Installations on QNAP platforms rose 3% from a year earlier, suggesting continued demand for backup deployments tied to NAS and edge infrastructure.

NAKIVO also updated its core product during the quarter. Version 11.2 of NAKIVO Backup & Replication added support for VMware vSphere 9, Proxmox VE 9.0 and OAuth 2.0 authentication.

The latest release broadened platform support and strengthened security and compliance for customers managing a mix of virtual, physical, cloud and software-as-a-service workloads.

Awards and strategy

Beyond its financial and channel results, NAKIVO Backup & Replication received a Gold Award in the Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery category of the 2026 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards.

NAKIVO has been building its position in backup, ransomware protection and disaster recovery software through subscription sales, MSP relationships and channel partners. More than 3,000 partners are now part of its wider network.

Talley said the company continued to build recurring revenue and invest in product development during the quarter.

"During the quarter, NAKIVO continued to expand recurring revenue through MSP and subscription offerings, maintained strong channel retention and partner engagement worldwide, invested in backup automation, ransomware recovery, and disaster recovery innovation, and increased adoption across enterprise, SMB, and distributed IT environments," Talley said.
